Yeah theres some problems with it, the vending machines mess up the roof and i cant even fit 2 of them in each window. You have to do everything in a different order or you cant go back
I did this base multiple times, it’s a genius design. I have it built right now. Compounded out but instead of honeycombing the roof? I built a second floor which makes it a 2 story base for more storage, after I built the 2nd floor, which you can use a hatch to get up safely without going outside, i honeycombed the top of the 2nd floor. Then I compounded the base out and nobody ever tries to raid me, I call it the 2 story chad cabin. Having an upstairs makes so much more room for storage, beds, computer station, lockers, and electricity.
Its been 2 years. I still build this anytime I play. <3 I am trying to figure out a way to make it a bunker because zergs these days will happily raid a 1x1 for a revolver. Some days I will survive the full wipe, other days I will not, but its Rust!
This is a very good base for a solo. I've changed the jump ups to the roof to be from the "anklebiter" roof peeks so you get a look to the roof automatically every time you get into the roof. Also adds some raidcost when door raids through roof go through shooting floor.

some optional additions from somebody who's used this design for a couple wipes now, if you have the frontier pack you can use the vertical barrels on the sunken floor of the core to sneak a grill between the barrels in the center of the triangle. putting wooden shutters on the outer walls of the first airlock allows you to grenade clip doorcampers that aren't deterred by eye contact. if you're going to use the vending machine to sell items, learn how to use the game's industrial mechanic to limit the amount of stock in the machine at any given point in time. you can make insane profits even late game with this base. but you have to remember that a vending machine is a permanent sneak peak of how much loot your base has, and it's hard to expand this design without loosing accessibility to the vending machine as a shop. This base is honestly a solo's dream, if you're friendly to some friendly neighbors you hit the sweet spot of just too hard to raid for players who want loot for cheap, but too small for clans or zergs looking for the one piece. seriously if I have no plans for a specific base when I go into a server, this is the design I'm gonna be living in for the wipe.
Maybe take heli after update it’s OP now and destroys a tower like this in seconds with the rocket barrage it does now, maybe time to come up with an updated version?
Evil Wurst was my fav Rust builder. I miss him, but life calls sometimes. Oh btw, just mentioning you can place 2 small boxes sideways under a Tier 2 WB. Just put them back to back n you can lock them both easily too.
