Hi, I'm interested in your opinion on the Encampment / Ending of the Encampment? Would you be free for an interview to talk about Student Life at UofT for Macleans magazine?
after 3 years , do u still reccomend doing this method? or do u feel its better to just relax and so nothing in breaks ? idk I really feel I need a bit of guidance tell me a bit of ur experience please and which method u use atm
Nicole, you mentioned about 2 mins in that it feels "weird/wrong" to be enjoying while people in Gaza are literally being massacred in front of our eyes. I know this vlog is filmed a while back but by now, 35 000 Palestinian civilians have been killed, 14 000+ of that is children under 18. There are no schools. No aid trucks are being let in. There are no fully functioning hospitals. Kids are dying of malnutrition and starving to death. Yet, the media is not reporting on the Palestinian casualties and deaths, and the war crimes on Israel's end, because of racism and our own colonial systems preventing us from humanizing Palestinians. It is important to learn about Palestine and take action - by engaging with your community in marches, boycotting, petitions, and immersing yourself into the history of Palestine. It is also important to fill your own cup too - listen to music, spend time with your family, meet up with friends, go to school. Learn about apartheid South Africa and the boycotts that finally broke the apartheid system. Learn about the student protests against the Vietnam War. The Palestinians have said many times that they have been going through this for 75+ years and all they ask is for us to care and try to make a change, but don't ignore the blessing and privilege you have. Fill your cup, and help in ways that you can.
Happy to know you are back from your gap year. Looking forward to see your journey as a senior teehee. I applied for UofT too and my main inspiration was you!! Best wishesss~
