State of Reform is a conference and reporting platform dedicated to bridging the gap between healthcare policy and political reality. All too often, the great proponents of healthcare reform don't have a solid platform to get their ideas out, and many who do lack a grasp of how the legislative process works. On the flip side, those who understand politics don't necessarily have a deep understanding of the intricacies of the healthcare system. And that's where we come in.
The purpose of this conference platform is to foster an open dialog of ideas in a non-partisan environment, as well as support networking among professionals, and promote civic leadership and engagement on healthcare reform. Often we fixate on countering disagreements, rather than finding real solutions. Taking the blinders off can help. So can effective discussion, and education.
But we cannot succeed without your voice. Will you join the conversation?

From what I understand, Medi-Cal can seek repayment from a recipient's assets (after the recipient passes away) if the recipient was 55 or older at the time he or she received services paid for through Medi-Cal, but what if the person who signed up for Medi-Cal is 55 (or older) and added a spouse and dependent(s) who are under 55 to the Medi-Cal coverage? If the spouse and/or child utilize Medi-Cal, does their usage accumulate a debt for the primary applicant? Or, because the spouse and child are under 55, will their usage not accumulate a debt for the 55+-year-old primary applicant? Thank you.

I went school with someone with the same name in elementary and though I couldn't recognize this janice I did see a photo of this janice that looked like the Mar Vista/Brooklake Janice. I really am struggling with this issue and am nearly dead after a 30 year fight with Dr's and if this is janice of my youth please let her know that Lisa stanton was helping Windi S with Healthcare after her accident which paralyzed her. She was later killed and there have been many attempts to kill me as well. The phone company forced my 80 yr old mother to change our phone number on dewey after 60 years. I'm losing hope. I am isolating myself in the driveway while my moms in the house due to her latest brain tumor diagnosis plus covide concerns and I've been medically tortured for decades even by dentists.

I am supportive of anything that motivates people to be healthier, live at home longer and become more educated about preparing for the remainder of their lives. Anything that will keep people off of state healthcare as much as possible.
