@@KayakQ last question Brother, why do you have to launch without motors in Dania beach? Because of the sharks.? Would appreciate it if you answer this question just in case Im missing some important info.
@FloridaFishingRebels because an ordinance was passed, someone complained/got struck by a kayak with a motor from Dania Beach , so they banned kayaks with motors to launch from Dania Beach. Regular kayaks without Motors can Launch from Dania Beach once they grant access….4/5/6AM sunrise. 🤦🏽♂️ They still allow kayaks to launch, just without motors. 🤷🏽♂️😒

I have 2,400-hours on my Delta 12-10 kayak and I'm very careful, i.e., I use wheels vs. dragging my kayak thru the parking lot. Both the bow and stern developed cracks/leaks recently. I fixed them with JB Weld. If I knew his was going to happen I would have bought a toothpaste sized tubes of JB Weld at Walmart and filled the low spots on the bow and stern when it was brand new. Once I saw the gray JB Weld color I would have known I was thru the kayak material. I'd rather spend $20 for JB Weld vs. hours of labor.
Wait... how much do 5 gallon buckets cost where you are?!?! lol Also, walmart sells a nice lid that will fit any 5 gallon (among other sizes) bucket, with an aerator for like $15. The lid has a nice top hatch, a place to hang the aerator, a loop for bait net, and some other places to attach or hang tools. It's a nifty, simple little product.
Hi, how do you feel the stability with the hobie side kick + outboard? I have Adventure Island with suzuki outboard, but was wondering using the hobie sidekick for quicker beach launch. Thanks
The side kicks are good they have there ups and downs but not as good as the adventure island set up. With the adventure island set up you can stand up with ease and not really worry about going over board. With the side kick ama depending the conditions your more likely to take a swim if your standing up. They are both good depending the condition and what works best for you. I recommend the adventure island set up. I hope this helps you.
Ok so the dial thats right next to the handle is how tight u want ur drag? Like while fighting a fish, how easily the can pull line from ur spool.... And the dial on the bare face is how loose u want ur spool? Like how much brake is applied to ur in free spool? Like how quick it will drop a 5oz weight?

Genius. I just sprayed Truck Bed Liner on mine last week. Haven't tested it on asphalt but it does have a gritty texture to it. How is the Gorilla tape on asphalt?

Now that this video is 2 yrs old I'm curious how this mod performed over time. How long did it last? Did it scrape off from dragging in sand or shallows?
