I am a Chinese-American transit enthusiast located in the Brooklyn, NY area that posts public transportation around the NYC area, primarily of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority which manages most public transit within NYC. @@gelatin3613 Yes, Jamaica and Castleton did a fleet swap, trading about 23 buses (Jamaica got 2019 LFS Diesels and Castleton got 2022 LFS Coneheads) due to issues like mileage. 8702 as shown in the video was one of the transferred units to Jamaica, but has not been seen entering service yet. This footage was from when it still operated at Castleton. ^C
@@gelatin3613 After retirement, some NGs are sent to Zerega for training purposes, where they serve until they complete their training time and are sent to Eastchester Scrap. Other depots train as well with their own fleet, but Zerega, being for training and maintenance only and with no routes, takes in old retired buses for training. ^C
@@jadenmuniz8817 I know. Marked it as loan because it was transferred there from Charleston well over a year ago. If it stays longer, I’ll remove the loan tag. ^C
Yes, they apparently are the agency that still has the most Old Generations but I could be wrong. Solid answer is yes though, view the video I uploaded before this ^C
@@jadenmuniz8817That NG is now one of five remaining Next Generations remaining in the entire system to retain Luminator Spectrum displays, following 4259’s retirement last night.
@@jadenmuniz8817 I only marked it as rare because of how difficult it is to see in the city with them only being limited to LaGuadia routes and almost being fully wiped out. If there were more, I would have left it as normal. ^C
Seems okay, but it wouldn’t be fit for service. It’d be like a pre-2009 Bay Parkway D/M situation- neither Kings Highway or Bay Parkway are built for both continuing trains and terminating trains. Besides, the Church Avenue relay already exists and is the best place to terminate G trains and keep F trains running at the same time.
