Welcome to the official "Minnesota Jake" RU-vid Channel! Here you will find videos by a dad and husband who has tried and failed a lot in everything that life has to offer. I will do my best to provide content that teaches based on those experiences as well as learning from those wiser than I. There will also be some good clean fun! I'm in my 60s now and loved jumping off of bridges, trestles, waterfalls, abandoned waterfront buildings, etc. while growing up. This one looks fun and I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's even better if the water is cold.
Looks like the house builder(or maybe the house was lifted and a cinderblock full basement was added) ran out of cinderblock at some point and made do with leftover cement 😮
No, desires don't "need to be fulfilled". Not at any age. That's pure selfishness. Do what I want when I want whatever makes me feel good is why we have crime, divorce, abuse, abortion, addiction, and every other societal evil.
Because manufacturers add vitamins A and D to milk, people consuming the low or nonfat versions generally do not miss out on these nutrients. For people who wish to maintain a moderate weight, choosing skim or low fat may be a wise choice, as these contain fewer calories.
You’re correct on the vitamin value. The calorie difference is negligible, though many fall for the marketing strategy you refer to. I taught middle school health for many years, and this fun fact about skim milk was the hook for the lesson. We studied milk math to learn how marketing affects choice. Skim is 90 calories per cup, with whole milk at 150. Though it’s obviously a calorie savings, we can burn those 60 calories by walking for 10 minutes or exercising strenuously for less than 5 minutes, and it’ll take 2 months to lose a pound of fat by saving those 60 calories at 1 serving per day. Part of their discovery was that cutting calories in other areas of excess, such as portion size and sweets, is usually more beneficial, especially when the alternative is choking down white water with no taste 😜
There’s more layers of stupidity in that question than on the red onion in my fridge…”should you face them in Detroit”…is that still up for debate where they’re playing? 😂 (Not even addressing the dome issue cuz that’s low hanging fruit lol)
This is what a "dumb-question" looks and sounds like.... This is also what it looks like for someone completely ignorant and inept in a topic...to ask what they think is an "intelligent" question....
Yes, I just hope it wasn’t her thoughtfully wording something taking a long time to do it so she didn’t look out a place. It would be much easier to understand if we found out some jerk in the office fed her that question.
To give credit to the coach, he did finish the question. If he would’ve done so without the initial shock, I wonder if we wouldn’t have heard about this
I don't think I'd have someone else's hands in a machine with that many moving parts, and someone else running controls. That's how you make trips to the hospital and come back with fewer body parts
I really liked your video my friend, I will travel to that hotel in December with my family and we are very excited, recently we read some opinions about the rooms and they complain a lot about the air conditioning and the little variety of food, do you agree?
That's great news sir! The AC didn't keep up with the humidity but did fine with the temp. So the towels and our suits didn't dry, but it's Mexico and we expected that. One window in the bathroom didn't close all the way either. There were no bugs so we didn't care. The food was fine between all the restaurants on site. We didn't go to the fancy one up by the main building, but went a couple times to dinner at the one down by the ocean. We also leave the resort and head to a couple different spots in town and down the beach as they are some of our favorites in Coz so we don't necessarily stay "all inclusive". You'll love it!
Right you are Jim! I had a batch of five young kids with me that were itching to do it, and the only reason I said it was OK was because of the wind noise and direction as well as the terrain preventing him from getting to us. The boys still thought they defied death that day! 😂
@@MinnesotaJake very smart idea. Im from small european country, no bison here but I 've seen first Hand how bear kill cows with ease, one swipe of its paw breaking their neck and I rather not think what theY can do to a human. respect wild life, keep safe distance! hope u had a great trip, all the best 🙂👍 and sorry for grammar mistakes, English is not my first language.
Yes, that thing is great. I did another video this year and had more time to get footage down in the business end there. So fun to watch that thing work.
I've wanted to go back since we left just to see how they've rebuilt the surrounding area. When we were there lots of their stuff was still in rebuild as it had been sucked into the ocean by the hurricane the previous year. The resort down the beach with the tall building was also still boarded up. We may get back there some day. Enjoy your stay!
There's something about swimming pools with people swimming around drinking liquor, who never get out of the pool to use the bathroom, that makes me cringe. I live in Hawaii and am looking for a place to "Get away from tourists." I'm not finding it. I'm fully spoiled. I'll probably do the Snake River and Grand Tetons. I like the pseudo Benihana.
I think they were fresh water. We spent all our time on the beach. The current is treacherous without large flippers. Lots of undertow and large rocks the waves will throw average swimmers into.
Absolutely I would highly recommend this place. Ask for Hector at the desk. He is the head guy and was very responsive to Minnesota nice after having to bump many guests due to hurricane related reservation problems. We were there not long after the hurricane so they were still doing a lot of work but it was still fantastic. You are a little bit out of town but they have shuttles and you just tip them well. to me it was desirable to be away from all of the noise of the city. Be sure to hit up the sushi restaurant in town that has glass floors over Japanese sand gardens. We didn't find it until the end of the trip and we probably would've eaten their lots if we had found it early. Have fun!
maybe this might sound odd , but would you recommend this hotel for a bachelor party ? like we are going to cabo in a few months and obviously we want some party and everything , is this place like that or is more for families?
It was great on land. The ocean swimming was not what you could call safe. Really strong current pulling and tossing us around even with huge flippers on. It was everything we could do to stay off the rocks. Beach and resort were great though!
