I Ended up getting the 11.5 Degree Mini Burner! I always struggled with driver until now, hitting longer straighter better than ever! Highly Recommend Mini Driver to anyone looking for more consistency!! (also i often use it off the deck with good results)
Why don’t you just rip those shafts out, put axiom 125x with jumbo max ultra light to not chance swing weight as drastically and maybe consider a step down in grip size..
I have had the Ping 7 Wood in my bag for a few years now. I love the club. Great review. I actually carry a Ping 5, 7 and 9 Woods and a Callway 11 Wood. Great combination.
Yeah know, a good middle-ground between an Autoflex/Freeflex & a normal shaft is a Fujikura Airspeeder. It's lightweight and has a good amount of flex without being too whippy (so less of a chance of drawing or hooking the ball) you get almost the same amount of distance the free flex, but half the price
Do you think I'm crazy if I say I game a mixed TaylorMade Iron set (P770 longer irons, P7MC 5 and 6, P7MB 7-PW) and have 2 scoring wedges past that, and they're my MG4 52, and my Vokey 58? I love the greenside feel of the Vokey, I own a Vokey 54 as well, I just like the MG4 better for my gap wedge because I like it better on the full swing for some reason. It might also just have a thing for those two brands, because I switch between my Spider putter and my Scottie Cameron depending on if I want mallet (I'm more careful putting with my Spider) or blade (more hot and cold, but those hot streaks often feel worth it to use the Scottie.)
Pings are the money .. the spin retention is soo consistent plus the launch is lower and spin is in a great window.. heaps better then a vokey It’s called hydropearl finish on the ping also and it’s their update or 2.0 version And you don’t want a wedge that spins too much then you’re always trying to take spin off .. no tour pro sets up a wedge to spin ridiculous they mainly take spin off wedges
I just got a LW hi toe 3 .. around the greens it’s like a cheat code .. idk what it is about it but no more duffs or thins .. excited for the new ones this summer
At my local driving range with TopTracer, it's $15 for an hour + $5 for each additional hour. I've been twice. The thing I'd like is a way to combine a target with the MyPractice/Analysis screen. I like to hit a club until I hit 10 "good" balls with that club, then change clubs.

Obviously I have some gaps in my yardages like 155 I just have to either lay back with a 9 which I’m not great at or just smash a PW which I’ve learned to do quite nicely
The number they stamp on the bottom is meaningless. All that matters is the loft. Comparing a 30 degree to a 20 degree isn't a fair comparison. My HC would be the same with either set of these irons. All that matters is knowing how far you hit each club. Everything else is irrelevant.
You youngsters - if you are lucky - will one day realize that you might be able to hit it farther and faster than you can pick it up in the sky and as it lands. Hitting a nice long shot you don't see is not fun. Blue is best for this but can be hard to find in the rough. Orange is best for that but I will sometimes use a white ball in tall rough if I have other good eyes on it. Also not mentioned is the advantage of approaching the green and seeing 4 balls on/near. Now no guessing and wasting time/carrying clubs you don't need wondering who is whom. These are really good balls and very durable. Older ones still look new and are good for short game practice. I do not use the putting alignment aid unless I am showing my partner the putting line. I stand the ball on the green so one color is visible. On the tee box I use the yellow side with the color side peaking out in front and I focus on the front of the ball. Makes this easy.
Got fitted at club champion this week. Was previously playing with Calloway apex and was being fitted comparing the Cobra Darkspeed, Ping G430, Calloway Ai Smoke, and Titleist T350. I ended up with the Darkspeeds to my and to the fitter’s surprise. They were remarkably consistent for me. Launch angle, spin, distance, smash factor. Checked all the boxes. They are long and I’ll have to adjust, but I cannot believe I chose a non-forged iron, they were just that good. Went with Ping hybrid and fairway wood, Titleist driver and wedges, but I could not go with any other setup than the Darkspeed irons. They do look a bit flashy on the back, but the dark color and the look from above are very nice. Hope when they arrive I hit them as good as I did at the fitters.

I have just sold my newish Cleveland wedges and replaced them with the the macgregor wedges, they just feel better, sure the sole grind is a bit basic, there’s no milled face and I’ve swapped a premium shaft and grip for budget options, but I can’t put finger on it, I just prefer them. I initially bought one in 52 degrees as I had bought new irons with different lofts that messed up my gapping, but I liked it so much I got a 56, (previously had 54 and 58 in the Cleveland wedges), I’m now on the lookout for a 60 degree macgregor.
New Q star tour has 72 rating not 67. Still on soft side but not super soft . What swing speed is it for ? Hit my 7 iron 83, 150m carry , driver 98mph love this ball but is it too soft or ideal .
My son, a golfer with a 4 handicap, just graduated from college with a business degree and just got his first fulltime job with PING America (Arizona) building clubs. I’m gaming the 13.5 stiff mini driver in full standard setup and it’s the best bit of kit I’ve bought in years. I’m a 3 handicap I’ve just turned 60 and noticed I was struggling a bit with my cobra king f9 driver off the tee with accuracy and losing a lot left and right. my confidence was shot but The mini driver has now got me back in the game with an average distance of 265, and my Arccos stats for fairways hit have rocketed from 46% to 74%, I see absolutely no need to have a full-size driver when I’m getting this performance and accuracy. If I went back to a normal driver, it would be for pure ego only which I think might come into it a lot with players. I’ll happily take a loss of 10 or 15 yards to be playing it into the green every time not trampling around looking for lost balls in the forest.😂 oh and I can beast this off the deck 250 min, it’s so easy to hit and like a bullet. I guess you could say I’m a fan. 😂
I went to a Srixon fitting day at my club and was looking for ZX5s after trying them I ended up with ZX4s throughout. I’m a fit 67yr old with 11.5 index. I’ve gained 8-10 yards but more importantly the balls coming in higher and stopping quicker. Love them already after 2weeks use.
