im gonna be a para at an elementary school and I’ve been doing practice test. some test are way harder than others. Do you know if questions are harder depending on what grade level you’re going to be helping? Or it all the same ?
Love this video! I was a substitute teacher last year, and this year I am a Paraprofessional. I work in the Autism unit for Kindergarten-Second grade. I love my job! I make about 24,000/year as a Para, but I also work at my church, and I am a freelance Graphic Designer and work from home at night. With all of my jobs I make around 35K/year! It works for me! :) I thought about finishing my degree and becoming a teacher, but right now I am happy with the way things are going!
Wishing you a terrific school year! I taught for 14 years and I finally get to be a substitute and I must say that I am thoroughly enjoying it! No stress...just get to enjoy the kiddos which is the best! I look forward to seeing day and week in the life videos. I taught preschool through second grade and first grade was my favorite!
OMG! I love that "find a friend" sheet! We do a fourth grade version, but I can tell this is a first grade friendly version. Also, LOVE those earrings!!! 💖💖💖
Thank you so much for mentioning us and sharing such a great review!❤ Wishing you a fantastic year teaching first grade-hope it’s filled with joy and lots of rewarding moments!🥰🥰
I have an associate and soon to have a bachelors degree in nursing. I want to become a teacher. Would you recommend getting my masters in elementary education or get another bachelors (in elementary education)?
I'm interested to becoming a Paraprofessional working in special education, and I was wondering what the best study material method will be I thought order a book from amazon
@@janivemerritt3055 I can’t really say because I didn’t have to take a paraprofessional exam since I already had a degree when I started as a para. Watch RU-vid videos and do research on study materials.
Hi Kristen! I'm a new subscriber. Thank you so much for your videos! I just found your videos today and love them! Have an amazing and blessed school year!
@@PrincessYonna1 Hey. When I subbed, I picked up jobs for paras too with an understanding that I would get paid less than if I pick up for a certified teacher.
I purchased the practice exams for both parts of the elementary GACE. They helped me some. Then I of course reviewed all of my notes from my courses. I would recommend looking up videos to see what other resources people recommend.
Congrats and welcome back to the classroom! I also find the stickers a little tacky. A little Goo-gone will take them right off. Wishing you a wonderful year!
Congratulations! Your videos are inspiring for me as an educator. That is so different having only large tables, as we have small desks for each person at the school where I work. I enjoy following your journey! 🤍
Thank you! I honestly was hoping I would have desks lol. The tables are cool, but I feel like you can do more with desks. Thanks for watching and following along 💕💕
Great video! One quick suggestion. It looks like you might have room at the tables for three children's chairs on the length of each table (no chairs on the width). This would mean you still have groups of six but no children would have their back to the board, at least for the front three tables. Hope this isn't overstepping and helps. Have a great year.
Aw congratulations! First grade is the best! I think it will be a good transition for you since you taught kinder last year! Just liked video and subscribed!! Have a blessed year! 💖💖💖
Congrats 🎉 excited to follow your journey again, especially since this is the grade level I would like to teach ❤️ what study material did you use for the GACE/teacher certification exam?
Thank you. Happy to have you follow along 💕 I purchased the practice exams for both parts on the GACE website. Then I reviewed important topics/notes from my courses.
I am so excited for you and look forward to following along with you on your journey. I am currently in school for education as a former Paraprofessional and I am looking forward to the transition.
