Thanks for the explanation. However I have a query; in our book, the alkyl for propane is given and they are two (because it has more than two carbon atoms), n-propyl and iso-propyl so in the self-assessment aren't we supposed to write n-propyl and iso-propyl? Additionally, butane also has more than two carbon atoms so aren't the alkyls of butane going to be n-butyl, iso-butyl and neo-butyl?
