Beyond the Curve implies it goes deep into proving the shape of the earth either way. It was the Mark Seargant and Patricia Steere story mixed in with pathetic desperate Scientism pushers. And why do they act like someone recently invented flat earth?
Wasted my time watching what I percieved to be ego maniac Mark Sargeant who clearly loves the attention. Save yourself the time of watching the documentary because your will learn nothing.
Did you forget what Ra’s Al Ghul motive was in Batman Begins? His daughter and Bane are not only out to get Batman but to finish the job set forth by the League of Shadows. A very good circle back tying up the trilogy. Batman begins and ends in symmetry. It’s like poetry it rhymes… Dark knight is the weakest out of the 3. Too much to get into here. And on the last one you forgot to mention how Aaron Eckhart was an incredible casting. The recast of Rachel Dawes ruined it as well. Katie Holmes is Dawes not Maggie Gyllenhaal, totally pulls me out of the movie every time I see her, she should have been written out.
I ended up here because I decided yesterday to rewatch the Behind the Curve documentary yesterday, about five years after watching it with my son. Sadly, it's now disappeared. An interesting discussion though. Of course, the Earth isn't flat, but I'm glad these people are out there, trying to prove it is.
So Greg is just an idiot then that explains a lot. “Man I hate those trash Marvel movies they shove down our throats” “yeah I like venom”. No one is forcing you to see any of these films and yet the one you like is a literal piece of trash lol. Same with Austin, just hypocrite , contrarian, douche sticks the both of em.
All I'm hearing is ultra lib self flagellating city dwellers being angry a movie didn't preach to them enough and wasn't walking on eggshells for the willfully ignorant forces that clearly exist today.
Holy hell I have listened to this podcast all the way through twice now and when going back through I used Apple podcasts and I swear there is a freaking ad every 5 mins and it was so so annoying, your in house ads are cool but f^ck Apple.
Why are child members of Mensa universally celebrated on television and in social media while adult Mensa members are characterized as underachieving narcissists and feckless nerds? At what age does being a Mensa member cease being socially acceptable?
If gifted programs are pernicious, leading to social isolation and a feeling of superiority, does that mean that it’s not okay to earn a degree from an elite university (Harvard, Stanford, MIT, etc.)? I don’t see the difference.
All i know is it was a multitude of flat earth videos... I've personally watched and now they're gone.. and all i can find is videos pretty much making a mockery of flat earther's .. and I'm wondering why 🤔 💭
Charlie vs. Donald Naturalism vs. Romanticism Determinism vs. Free will Naturalists strive to depict the world as it really is and deny human volition, while Romanticists strive to show you the world according to the artists own value judgments. How things might be and ought to be. Here's a little of what Ayn Rand had to say on the subject of naturalism: "The Naturalists object that a plot is an artificial contrivance, because in “real life” events do not fall into a logical pattern. That claim depends on the observer’s viewpoint, in the literal sense of the word “viewpoint.” A nearsighted man standing two feet away from the wall of a house and staring at it, would declare that the map of the city’s streets is an artificial, invented contrivance. That is not what an airplane pilot would say, flying two thousand feet above the city. The events of men’s lives follow the logic of men’s premises and values-as one can observe if one looks past the range of the immediate moment, past the trivial irrelevancies, repetitions and routines of daily living, and sees the essentials, the turning points, the direction of a man’s life."
Living as a monster is Andrew living with the guilt that he ultimately killed his kids because he knew his wife wasn't well and evaded the situation. Dying as a good man is being lobotomized as Teddy, the nazi killer who was just a little too late to save an innocent village from being slaughtered.
You guys just dont get it. For one stop comparing it to the fucking Matrix and it is absolutely nothing like the coen brothers. It is its own movie so what the actual fuck are you on about?
The way two of these guys have very little film education. So it's a good sign they didn't like it. Maybe they should stick to just discussing books and not media. I'm so tired of seeing mediocre reviewers showing their strings and getting paid for that.
