That looks like such an amazing dark ride but it featured one HUGE missed opportunity. That train effect(sometimes a truck or a car) would have been so much more effective if revealed only a few feet from the car. That one makes most people jump and it triggers way too early in this. Sad. Almost perfect for what it is besides that.
Giant claw machines like the one you're playing... Well, I heard most of them they replace their giant stuffed animals with ticket rings. I don't know if you know but just giving you a heads up about that.
@@arcadesoldier5043 The only giant claw machine I ever play is at the UrbanAir Trampoline Park in South Hackensack, NJ (which cost $12 to play and it is Play Until You win).
@@arcadeclawpro2851 That's pretty good if the prizes are big. There's other arcades that I've been to and they have big prizes but you probably have to spend around $30 to $50 just to win. Unless you get lucky and hit the payout rate.
This coaster has a special place in my childhood!!! I was so scared of it when I was really young. But once I was tall enough I decided to go for it and I loved it. Since then it’s a tradition, a must ride when I visit OC MD . At the top you’re overlooking the ocean at night and it feels like you’re hanging over the edge of the island. Truly nostalgic!!
This coaster has been here for years and I remember crying cause I was too young and short to ride. I was 3 at the time. But i got a picture of my little self next to the coaster when they had this smaller coaster i think called the rocket.
I literally was on this ride Thursday evening 8/11/22. I can honestly say that I love Haunted House's and this ride is what peaked my curiosity. I remember every year visiting Ocean City. From the late 80's to the mid 90's. I would get into the coffin with my MoM or DaD for this ride several times during the evening. Once I reached 13-14 years old I was a teenager and too cool to hang out with my family. When my son was a little dude I would take him. He is older now. But I will never forget the first time we went through together. He was so scared yet so excited. I love this place and I think that the new additions are awesome!!!
It's a Lilttle bad and fun at the same time. Just make sure if you get on It, don't go in the rear. That farther you go back, the more scarier it gets. Lol. Hope u enjoy the ride.
I rode every seat on the Tidal Wave and from experience the last car is the roughest due to the fact that there is no car behind it to stabilize it but you have a better view of Ocean City at the top of lift hill #1. The best place to ride for someone who has never rode is the middle cars.
I went on the exact coaster years ago at the Six Flags in New York. It was the grand opening of the coaster. At the time it was their biggest coaster. My two friends and I sat in the front. However after we dropped and went into the loop it stopped. We were stuck upside down for almost 25 mins. The local news crew captured it all in video. We had to wait until rescue came and got us out. Then the park gave us free passes to ride it again
Some haunted houses are really PC. They are more fun house then haunted house. If I built one it would be horrifying. It would play off of deepest fears and a creepy vibe. Like something horrible is going to happen. Jump scares are nice and so are the black lights etc but the over use of them feels more fun play house then scary.
Those were great times. When I was a little kid, I was a super hero fanatic (Aw, who am I kidding...I still am!) and I remember going into the arcades, and they'd have Spider-man, X-Men, Superman, Punisher, Batman, and Captain America and the Avengers all in the same spot. I was overwhelmed and never knew which game I wanted to play (never got much money for that kind of stuff).
Is there possibly two Haunted Houses in OC? Because the one I went on didnt have any of this - in fact it was like just dark no lights whatsoever and it was like 2min ride. I remember getting off thinking 'I know its old but dag no thrills here'. At least it had AC.
