I went rafting today and fell head-first into the water; luckily, there were no rocks. However, I had trouble climbing up to the surface and felt like I was drowning. I really thought that was it for me. Thank God and my life jacket.
At 14 my very first vehicle was a 1964 Ford where the cab and bed were one piece, I wished I saw the value of it back then and kept it. I have photos of us working on the engine while literally sitting in the engine compartment, it had so much room.
Done that nantahala falls twice now, first time I fell at the falls on a double deck then the second time (today) I did it on a single deck completely alone. Terrifying. Only 14 but look forward to doing this more!
Ridiculous, instead of buying this monstrosity they should use the money towards more training, deescalation, neighborhood patrols getting to know the people of the neighborhoods they terrorize. Instead they shoot to kill ask questions later and pay out lawsuits with taxpayer money. They sure didn’t run in to uvalde elementary school…
