A beautifully curated RU-vid channel; you have clearly taken a huge amount of time in getting all of the content exactly right. What a gem - thank you!
@@GrandmaMo Over the years I have created a couple of play lists of antique music box tunes, and probably have close to 800 of them. I also have an antique music box we got over in Germany when my dad was there with the Air Force in the early sixties. I've had several albums like this, also CDs, and all are digitized now.
It is worth the effort to get it all digitized. Still fun to have and play originals I imagine. I made it to Germany for the first time this year. My prized possession I brought back was our cuckoo clock. I hope I can go back again sometime, beautiful country.
A carillon is a set of bells in a church that is played on a keyboard by a person....sounds exactly like the sound of this music box....may well be a Carillon we're listening to here.... If you like this sound ... Can find other yt videos that use the carillon in the title.... And sounds like a music box....
That was worth looking up, there are a lot of carillon videos and it is a beautiful sound. The sleeve from the vinyl of this specific record says it was part of the Bornand Music Box Company established in Switzerland in 1825. I wish I could hear it from the original music box. The Bornand family was very skilled I think.
