I have a CRC Animalize, and as I was following along, I went to put the record back into the protective sleeve. I have my window open right now, and when the sun hit the the edge of the cover, I noticed a very faint line of text, possibly stamped. I can't really make it out, but from what I can see, it says "0018 CRC 0018", and then some I can't even decipher in the leopard print, followed by "085 (?) CBS (?) CRC CBS" and it continues on past the KISS logo. The whole line of text runs from the bottom left-hand side all the way up to the top of the jacket past the KISS logo. Pretty crazy!
When, Mike, are you gonna realize, promo copies, cut corners? As I said before, lots available in the uk. Just a marketing ploy… Buy from eBay uk… 🤦♂️❤️
Import vinyls in the uk.. kiss included…. Had cut corners. I have several rock n roll over, kiss and hotter than hell, with cut corners and ‘ promotional copy on the labels…. There were millions. Do more homework Mike.
@@DavidRoss-hd3rv I think your numbers are a little off. Rock And Roll Over was only certified platinum. That means 1 million units... They were not all promos. HTH was never certified platinum, definitely not millions of promos. I've researched this stuff far more than any sane person should, and I stand behind everything that I say here
I only collect US stuff. I do not care about worldwide stuff as far as collecting. There are folks that are far better versed in worldwide LP's and singles than me, but I stand behind every word that I say on this show about US vinyl. You keep telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about, but you provide no examples to back your claims
Mike… how does an originals , first print, unopened with price sticker on shrink grab you? Or… a love gun,, two vinyl, each one sided, white label with date stamps on each white sleeve. Just for starters👍….. and I have 300+ kiss vinyls, rare box sets etc etc. I’ve collected since I was 14…… Ime 57 now🤦♂️. 👍
Hey Mike…. First, love the videos and thanks for helping everyone better understand what is out there! Maybe I am incorrect but when you are talking about the Detroit Rock City/Beth 45 (about the 20-minute mark) and say that Detroit Rock City is on side A…. Is that possibly just stating that this is “A Rock Steady Production” and not specifically noting that this is side A? I could be completely wrong and totally missing the side designation but just wanted to clarify - Thanks again for the videos!
Another great episode as always. Have been waiting for this one for sure. So the first single promo Nothin to lose is not the most expensive promo 45 but it means the most to me because it’s the one that started it all. I read some where it was released 10 days before the album. Not sure if that’s true or not. Can’t wait for the next installment!!! Rock on……
Great video. Love hearing John's backstory with KISS. That's the juice when it comes to KISS talks, hearing someone's history. Doesn't' get any better than that. Also loved hearing your backstory. With your knowledge of KISS, that warms my heart, to think how hard your dive into the fandom was. Perfect. Loved this episode. Great work man. Have a wonderful week.
One of my local record stores actually had First Kiss...Last Licks on their display wall. It was way too pricey for my blood haha, but the fact that I actually held it in my hands was pretty cool!
No! I had not flipped through there. I knew the seller and just knew for sure that he would have pulled an error copy aside and priced accordingly. Boy was I wrong! LOL You lucky dog, Stone!
Another great segment Mike. Keep up the great job. Wish someone would do a show just on the Canadian variants. They are Kool and some releases are rarer and harder to get than their respective US releases. If you need help on that am very up on those variants
@@constantinosgeorgakopoulos926 that is definitely more of a job for KISS My Wax.... I'm just not very knowledgeable at all once we get outside the US border Edit*. I just saw that Jason replied the same thing pretty muxh
Ok thanks. I’ve read it was for the release of Dazed and Confused and then Smashes Thrashes and Hits. I believe it’s the live version from Alive. Look forward to the promo 45 episode 🤟🏻
