hey Riley, been watching some of your videos lately. just wanting to know your thoughts on what class i should join @IKC. im looking at joining hopefully late next year.. im leaning towards the TAG restricted class but others have suggested KA3 senior.
Depends what your goal is. TAG Restricted is the best class, its user friendly with the engines and the racing is awesome. The drivers are competitve, but very clean. KA3 Senior is also pretty good, but is often run by the National drivers in that class. Either way, you'll be in good hands, but my personal preference is the Restricted as you can race that class nearly every club in QLD, as there are more frequent numbers of drivers to race with.
@@rileyvandenbroek9999 cheers for the reply mate. i have a close friend who used to be very high up and his way of putting it was.. KA3 senior is the way to go if your trying to go pro. but with being 22 and just wanting fun, i think TAG is gonna be the go. Ipswich's TAG numbers look awesome also. hopefully i can catch up with you at a round soon
The axle change was necessary, this time of year it gets really hot and grippy so a harder axle is the way to go. In addition, with the less length, it’s able to give that little extra bit of rotation into the corner. The axle was helpful, it was not why I dropped off in the last two races.
@@rileyvandenbroek9999 I thought it was hot and grippy too so tried taking grip out of the kart, but talking to a very astute veteran of the sport, he says that when the track has a lot of rubber down during race day and with the sun belting down on it, it actually becomes "greasy" and you should actually be dialling grip INTO the kart.
I tried a Tillet T11VG, early last year. It was too soft for my liking, just seem to give me excessive jack. In this video, it’s a Tillet T11T which is just the standard rigidity, I found this is slightly softer than my OTK seat. OTK seat is quite a bit stiffer.
Bad luck but good driving anyway. Dude was desperate to hold his possy even though the defend wasn't on. 9 times out of 10 you'd be given the room so don't let it deter you from stickin it in there next time. Are you doing the rotax meet this weekend?
Your engine badly needs to go to shop. You are brilliant on the breaks but the engine has you too far back in break zone and you are making it work. Great driving.
