I have a question. I'd really appreciate if you or someone who owns a corgi would answer because I'm thinking about getting one. SO basically I've been thinking about getting a corgi but I live in an apartment. I have a plenty of time an energy to give the corgi the attention, excerice and training it needs. So that isn't an issue for me. But I've done some research about the breed and a lot of people say corgis bark loud and a lot. So I want to know if this is true and if it's possible to train a corgi not to bark (or at least reduce it) because I don't really feel like getting kicked of my apartment because of a barking dog. I want the honest truth because if a corgi isn't a good choise for someone who lives in an apartment I will look into other breeds.
Thank you for sharing -- my corgi Guido does many of the same things such as the rolling and head tilts - but definitely the licking. He even licked the computer
OMG SHUT UP!!! this vid could hav taken 9O SECONDS to show all methods.. yet you go on and on and onnnn... didnt show the actual application of the strips method, just applying glue to them.. ok.. (then you hav TWO in his ears at 8:17 , wish you had shown THAT instead of just YOU TALKING TALKING..!) and the typing of the string.. of course its not rocket surgery, but its the REASON I watched the vid..! I wanted to see the methods, you showed the forms, and then cutting the forms some some other material, (I didnt pay attention at that point because you just went on and on and onnnnnnn..) and you never showed the taping method.. at all. good grief..!
An e collar does not automatically mean it is a shock collar. Several have a light beep noise or a gentle vibrate. These stimuli are then trained for so that your dog understands the beep is the same as “no”. I understand the hesitation but I hope this helps!
@@nathanraleigh that sounds more of a tool to a lazy person who wouldn't bother put in the real work. Why cross the river, for water, when you could get it from the first side? You need to train the dog to understand the signals of the collar, instead of just train it to understand that a 'no' is a 'no' regardless of the circumstance?
The amazing thing is your corgi can sit still at your lap while u doing utube video. My corgi wont be able to do that. He will keep trying to lick my face like theres no tomorrow.
Any advice I’m taping my German Shepherd puppies ears at four months, and she keeps trying to scratch it off or shake her head and I’m using the same bonding cement and ears
We own two, one is not cuddly and the other one is! Oh and Corgi #3 is arriving in June. Living on a sheep farm gives them ample exercise! Wonderful video, thanks.
Our Chigi licks metal. She is obsessed with metal! We rescued her from a shelter a year ago, before the shelter, she lived on the streets. She is 3yrs old, so she never had a home. She isn't anemic or sickly, she just loves the taste of metal.
Our two corgis.have been "tightrope walkers". They also leave wet spots on the bed and couches. Also both of our corgis have insanely large vocabularies. There are so many words that they recognize, so.we.started to spell them. Now.they're understanding the spelling! Lol
I wish my corgi was like all these comments here. I am ready to give mine away because I am dealing with so much behavioral issues especially the sneaky one she mentioned. As soon as I turn my back she gets into anything she knows she’s not supposed to and it will be destroyed in a matter of minutes.
he is rubbing oil on everything .look under the neck of your corgi there is what may look like a cut in the center and on each side you will see a nobe with hair in it .these are oil sent glands. no other dog has .when you see him diveing and rubbing the under side of the neck they are marking you with their oil.only they can do and other dogs smell it. it means dont touch she ,😂is mine .other dogs dont have this .they can only spray, to sent mark.if you shower or change clothes ,hear they come to rubb the oil back on you.😂❤
I had 2 for ten years. My remaining little guy is a cranky old man in a fur coat but still prances and does bunny hops on walks. I have had Eskies and Shelties and they are both great breeds❤️❤️❤️
You clean to a level where your house doesn't look lived in. It looks like a model house, it doesn't look lived in and it's a bit uninviting when it looks like you'll get angry if 1 pillow is out of place.
Basil, our 10+ year old Corgi, recently lost his ability to stand on his rear legs and mostly uses his front paws for scooting along. He's not showing any signs of discomfort, so we're going to help him enjoy his favorite things while we can. After talking with several other Corgi owners, it's a sad though common problem in their later years. A 'corgi cart' for the rear legs isn't workable, so we just take him for wagon rides, which he really enjoys. Hoping that he will make it to Corgi Beach Day this year.
My corgi, Fimbul, is super cuddly IF you get down to his level. If I crouch down, he will walk over to me and push me over so I fall on my butt, then plop down in the space between my knees, using my leg as a cushion. He's not super into me lifting him or sitting him down on my lap while on a chair or something, and he'll only lay in bed with me for about 10 minutes then he wakes up and hops down to the floor (too warm I suspect).
Yes!! My Corgi Winter does everything Chibi does. Also she is very structured about when to get up, go out, and dinner time. And can be a little bossy about it. Introduce us to Kokoro, please🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I just love my Eski he is 3yrs old and can run like the wind. He loves everyone and all other animals . He is very beautiful with his long hair and wings on his front legs, training is an everyday process . He gets brushed at least twice a day I wouldn't change a thing ❤
