I also imagine me John's bicycle for your. I think I'm the only female to be honest few men will do it let alone females but I love my job I just don't like to eat. I don't want to get those clip shoes because I've come to close to being hit so many times and I'm afraid of him when he gets. Stuck in there what are the benefits of those shoes besides? Maybe getting you up a hill faster regret
I'm glad I got to see this I just joined AFROTC at my local university (my first class is in August) it kinda helps to see a bit on what they do, I did JROTC when I was younger so looking at this video I think I'm kinda prepared? Lmao
@@vladimircastanon9682 I'm not on scholarship unfortunately, only like 3 members of my flight are so I don't know much for the scholarship, but I suggest talking to your school counselors or looking it up because I know nothing about it 😆
Hi I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a public university in NYC and will graduate in two years. I am planning to join thr airforce reserve as a fighter pilot. Can I pursue AFROTC alongside my bachelor’s degree? How long should it take? Thank you!
If you have already completed your second year, it might be difficult for you to join at this stage as most AFROTC programs are 3-4 years. I would contact the detachment at your school to see if you can join
Yes, it's designed for people already in college and you can major in anything you want. ROTC is just one extra class that you take every semester along with a leadership lab that teaches you practical military skills
I would say only do ROTC if you want to go active duty. If you want to air guard you can enlist and then get some of your collage payed for with the GI bill. I don’t know if reserves does that though. Either way I’d pick guard over reserves because it is both state and federally funded. Don’t expect to go into reserves from AFROTC though, most likely you will be an active duty officer.
True for the most part. I wish I could get up at 0600. But in reality we usually do at 0500. They also forgot about Aerospace class which is kind of a big part of the program. And maybe I'm just in a tough det, but our PFOs have us doing workouts on par with the other branches who do it right next to us in the stadium. (And you can't blame those guys too much for getting things wrong, they are first year 100s after all.)
imagine doing afrotc as a freshman..... fr though, i wish my school did army or marine, because the air force rotc low key looks boring, i always wanna be moving.
As far as I’m concerned, yes you can do ROTC. There is someone in my class who’s enlisted in the guard and is doing AFROTC at the same time. But call up your nearest detachment and check in with them
@@davidfelton7772 Yes, a non-rated tech EA. FY23. It's been a rough couple of weeks, lost half my class in one day. 20 strong too. Only 9 of us remain, it's been bittersweet. You?
@@spectre.8804 I'm only a 100 right now so I have time. I think for us, the official EA percentage was about 53% making it. If it's about the same next year, I'm confident that I'll make it. I'm from a pretty big det so there's already a lot of badasses in my class but we'll see. I plan on applying for any position whatsoever next semester so I can have a decent resume
I have a few questions in regards to AFROTC as prior service enlisted Air Force. 1. In AFROTC, do you buy your own uniforms or are they rented for the semester? Issued? 2. IF you are prior service, can you just wear the ones you already have but obviously without rank on them? 3. Which uniforms are being worn in the detachments? ABU's or OCP's?
Super late but for those reading this that are asking the same here is the answers: 1) Its free only time you need to pay is if you lose your items. 2)If you are prior service you are allowed to wear the old ones as long as it all followed the AFI and wing standardization. 3)OCP's
Awesome video! I love watching one second a day videos, they're all so unique and personal ❤. Your description made me laugh tho ;). I just finished and posted my own 1 sec a day video and edited the entire thing by hand. Totally worth it, but it took me ages to finish it 😂
I don't know how far along they are but why weren't they corrected for that turn at 4:00, even though it was just one person they still messed up and the whole team should suffer. Unless this is like the first two weeks than just disregard what I just said.
Everyone I would like to clarify how amazing it is to be in the AFJROTC program , many people believe that it is a waste of time but in fact it teaches you basically everything that rotc will teach you (preparation) . Please I encourage you to do that program !
No he was saying that their are only 3 types of ROTC programs. Navy ROTC commission both Navy and Marine Corps officers, Army ROTC,and Air Force ROTC. No Coast Guard does not have an ROTC.
But marines are there own branch. They are not part of the navy. They are under jurisdiction of the department of the navy which is not the branch of navy
Despite gaining some information about the ROTC, I had to give a dislike on the video because it didn't actually follow a day in the life of any cadet. I was expecting something much more similar to the title.
I'm looking into different options as well, so I'm not an ultra knowledgeable source, but according to a retired colonel that I have been talking with both are equally qualified on paper, but academy graduates get favored. It won't make an enormous difference as pilot slots are generally decided by academics, but compared to two similar officers preference generally leans towards academy graduates.
its the same standard and difficulty between each. Flight hours, AFOQT scores, etc it all plays a part on your performance and youre competiting against OTS, AFA, AFROTC, so all in all its just as difficult as the rest
@@MajinWally not true. Afrotc pilot slots do not pull from the same pot as the academy. They have separate numbers to base off. And then OTS is a whole different story. You are hoping to get hired by a guard or reserve so a spot might not even exist
