I was premature, not as much as Violet, and had some health issues as a baby and my grandmother kept me. She was my favorite person in the entire world and I miss her so much. Hi Lauren, for next year, you only need to buy 1 bag of seed potatoes. Each seed potato can be cut into multiple pieces, just make sure each piece has at least a couple of eyes. I grew up on a farm and we always cut them. My father would dust the cut pieces with some sort of powder, a fungicide I believe. But, as long as you leave the cut sides to heal over/dry up a bit , that’s not even necessary. Seed potatoes are outrageously expensive, so just wanted to let you know how to stretch them. I have even planted organic potatoes from the grocery store and had good luck with them when I couldn’t bring myself to pay the ridiculous prices for seed potatoes. 😊
I loved the people from Germany stopping you at Costco! What are the odds they'd go to Costco to find you and there you are! Pretty special having your parents there. Mine are long gone now and they always dropped everything to show up when I or my kids needed them. I miss them every day and I'll look forward to seeing yours enjoying the grandkids.

I’m in FL done the Caribbean cruises plenty & I’m seeing some last minute deals w/Princess so truly tempted. Was looking at flying into Anchorage take cruise next day from Whittier but looks like a good clean decent safe hotel for 1nt is $300+. Less expensive ones have bad reviews. Any hotel recommendations in Anchorage? Do you know if better to stay in Seward? Any hotel recommendations in Vancouver? I may switch up take cruise out of Vancouver to Whittier.
