Great video, you did a good job explaining everything. I liked it, but there's a little mistake on the video chapter of the first car part. It is a cylinder head and not a cylinder hat ;)

Is it possible to use laser cladding for big parts ? Like big shells, tubes , dish heads and … Normally companies use electro-slag strip cladding for such applications, but I dont know if laser cladding can do such a job or not …
Ideal for preparing repair and maintenance as a "Surfacing Weld" with corrasion resistance. Thanks for the update on your "Laser Cladding" operations. Thomas J. Vanderloop, Author, Design Consultant, AWS-Member & SME-Member/Leadrer
Excellent presentation / technical description of Blue Diode Laser welding copper to dissimilar materials and dimensions dimensions with real time control adaption relative to penetration and spatter aka expulsion.
Both are common standard materials for hardening with diode lasers. The process usually works without gas or any other medium. If you want to suppress oxidation, Argon cover is a possibility.
