I updated the firmware and codeplug of the GM399 radio. Now the "test 8 failed" error appears on the screen. How to solve this problem. upgradekit unofficial lab tool I used both. I activate the boot mode by connecting the boot pin to pin 7. What could be the problem?
In American English, this element is called aluminum, while in British English it's more commonly referred to as aluminium. The two names refer to the same chemical element. In scientific writing and academia, both aluminum and aluminium are commonly used and considered correct names. The American Chemical Society (ACS) officially adopted aluminum in 1925, but in 1990 The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) accepted aluminium as the international standard. And so we land today: with aluminum used by the English speakers of North America, and aluminium used everywhere else. Have a nice day 😉
Very nicely done ! I struggled to get my 13 words per minute US general ticket years ago ! Perhaps one day but at 63 not sure ? KE4TDG. Rig is Yaesu Ftdx 1200 into Ldg at 100. Into giant loop. It’s worked for over 20 years !!! 73.
There's plenty of QSOs at 10wpm. Look into LICW (long island CW club). Their no stress classes are great...got me back into CW. I was a Novice in 1990.
I've been licensed in the USA since the beginning of 2019 (Extra class since the end of 2021) and have only ever operated on HF. I've been looking into getting a 2-meter rig together. Would you consider the DR-130 a good choice for starting out?
Hi Joseph, It's a small little rig with 50w of power. For mobile use it's great, good build and nice audio. If you choose to go stationary go for dr-135 laso 50w but more rugged. They are great radios and will last you with no problems 10 to 20 years. The EU version goes from 130 to 174mHz. Have fun and hope I could be of help foe your question. 73
@@yo9jnx Thanks for the reply. I pulled the trigger on a DR-130 before I seen your comment. It was cheap enough to go for it. Now I just need to decide on an antenna, and if I just want to purchase one or build one like I normally do.
Hello ,I have two MOTOROLA GM360 mobiles which display error messages TEST FAILED 8 and the other TEST FAILED 2 after having powered up both mobiles at 12v, is there a solution to solve this problem? ,thank you in advance..
@@yo9jnx oh crap,, now i wanna buy that too... =) cool tho. u have a more accurate product description ? its the "RTL-SDR Blog RTL SDR V3 R820T2 RTL2832U 1PPM TCXO SMA RTLSDR Software Defined Radio with Multipurpose Antenna" ?
@@QuadDerrick :)) He he..it's called a RTL-sdr stick and just a C to usb adapter cable. You can find it on amazon or just ebay. The rtl sdr you can use it to receve radio transmissions, spot airplanes on the map or just tv receve.
The RTL-SDR is a DVB-T device, which is not compatible with USA over the air broadcasts. There was at one time a way to get the RTL-SDR to receive old analog NTSC TV, but thats long gone since they've done away with analog and went completely digital. Even if you was to find the app, you would receive a bunch of nothing.
beugh.. the price of the tuner is more expensive than the radio, hahaha... but I like it because I just found out from this video.. apparently, there is an ATU which is very small and looks interesting for QRP activities.. thanks for the video, de YC0SJA

A nice little setup, and functional. I have quite a lot more gear, having been an electronics tech all of my life, (I'm 71,) but as you show, it isn't really necessary. What I have found though is that a cheap NanoVNA is tiny and convenient, and will replace an antenna analyzer, a grid-dip meter, a capacitance/inductance meter, and a signal generator. I seldom ever use my big gear anymore since I got the NanoVNA. So if you don't already have all of those things, the NanoVNA is well worth considering.
Bonjour, quelle est la reference de cette antenne et couvre t elle la HF 0-30 mhz? J'ai aussi un 818 et quell est ce micro et ses caractéristiques?Merci
I got five of those radios and I need the program to regular channel they are Motorola radios and I need them program to the Family Channel and some other channels I need on there I definitely appreciate it I hit you up on RU-vid
Great Tx, the oxo. I built up one too. In Addition I installed a small P. A. Now I transmit with 2 Watts. I've got the same boot of George Dobbs. 😀. Essential for all qrp builders 👍
@@yo9jnx yes indeed. My first tx/rx I built up that wasn't a Kit. To synchronize the oxo with the sudden rx is a little bit tricky. I've got a drift in my rx. Maybe a VXO for the Rx will be the solution. All made with the help of this wonderful book. Salut de DL1SER
