I definitely whiffed a call at 1:17. Don't know how I missed that one in the moment. Then just died anyways, got smoked twice in that one lol. 11-3 Bel adjusted score.
Bel is such a house. He really maximizes the benefits of fighting punch and it allows him to attack all four quadrants so smoothly. Definitely something I'm trying to emulate.
Nice work and it's fantastic you all put this up and out in the world. Blair, I think you will see a lot of improvement if you take a hard look at your swing mechanic. You are all arm, very little power generation coming from your body, let alone your feet. I've spoken at length about this in my basics classes at SKBC over the years (so if you are interested, that should be easy to find). If you start generating power from your body and feet you should see an immediate improvement with the speed and strength of your swing. Work on stepping while you swing, over the step and then swing which you are currently doing. Khnor, your shot mechanics are actually pretty solid, however you lose it once you are down a leg. So work on that generation from your hips while on the knee. Try projecting your shield a little further forward, use it to protect your sword arm, while staying a little farther away from Blair, let that distance protect your legs and shoulders. She has a longer sword so this will be tough, but focus on fighting her sword arm and not reaching past that shield to her body, you should find some success. Keep after it, and post more videos! PtQ
Interesting locale and it seem like a good fit for ditching and tournament fighting. In the former you don't have to chase people and everyone needs to exercise even better situational awareness than they would outside. I think that's good for training
Note* This trial was captured on another device as well that caught the first ~10ish fighters, but that device is lost to time, and thus, as are those fights. The rest of the trial is here and this video begins some 30ish minutes after it truly began.
