Great job very impressed. I have always used molds for my rocks in past but will follow your method on my new layout that Im building at the moment when I get to the landscape part of the build.
I never visited Tehachapi but grew up with the SP in the Davis/Sacramento area in the 70's and early 80's so lots of SP tunnel motores and SD45's were the bread and butter. How did that weekend warrior get down there from the bay area is what I'd like to know! I thought they did their weekends up over Donner Pass. Nice layout and scenes. No caboose was a bummer - but noting the gumball lights on the SD45T-2's this must be post 1986 around the time when cabooses had been removed from most mainline trains. The dubbed in sound adds to the ambience and about the only thing missing is appropriate weathering on the freight cars. I have few weathered cars myself. The scenery looks great. Just getting to desert scenery myself on a west of Grand Junction Colorado based layout during late caboose era.
Incredible😊 So realistic. Thank you for sharing 😂 If I may ask - what kind of plaster are you using in your projects? BTW your English is much better than most English in UK.
Awesome work, my friend. I am definitely going to try some of your techniques on my layout. And don't worry about your English. It's fine. And certainly better than my German. 😊
Awesome work! I think I'm going to try this process on an N - Scale diorama I'm building, but I do have one question for you. What type of plaster do you find works best for this process? I'm assuming Plaster of Paris, but there as so many different plasters out there these days, I just wanted to see if you have a preference for one versus another. Thanks!
Hello Jay, you know that I am coming from Germany so I am going to use German products. My plaster is a very fast drying one (it will be hard after 5-7 minutes…) but it keeps its humidity for about 2 hours so I have enough time to work on the plaster before its becoming too hard because of being too dry….
@BNSFUPRailroader - Thanks! Based on the look of the consistency of the plaster you are using, I'm assuming it is some type of Plaster of Paris, but it could be something more like our Hydrocal, which dries harder and heavier. I have both, so I guess I'll just have to experiment a bit and find out which one works best for me. But I love your technique, so I'm going to see if I can replicate it on a D&RGW Royal Gorge diorama I am currently building.
absolutely incredible down to the the smallest details especially the crossings those concrete plates look absolutely authentic and your weathering skills are on another level so is your eye for details scenery colors authenticity
You are right 💫 Everything here you can see is Kato. Well, the Genesis locos are ok, not that detailed but they run great - even in dcc when one decoder is controlling two motors of one engine…💫
@@BNSFUPRailroader …good to know. I always wondered how they ran since they have two individual motors per engine. Thank you for the response! I think Kato still makes the best chassis out there. 👏👏👏
Hi , i have the Kato Ho scale superliners , they are the best ..They all have interiors and the quality is amazing ..lighting them up is easy with the Kato lighting Kits 7-504
