i am a vet, never served in Nam but when i was stationed at Ft Ord, Cali, i worked in the hospital and took care of some of the guys who returned wounded
Thank You Sir for Blessing Others. Fort Ord is in my hometown of Monterey & from WWll to Vietnam my family members served. Some came back hurt, some not & my grandfather died in WWll. All served out of Fort Ord.
Heartbreaking ... we've got to get a government that doesn't throw our heroes' lives away, by trying to bring civilization to nations that don't want it.
Amen Brother. It’s terrible that this president has us on the edge of world war three, after say the last president would get us into war. It was a horrible day, May 17, 2007 the day we learned of Steven’s death, on my son Andrew’s birthday. Andrew did his tours in Iraq & Afghanistan. He ended up being Airman Of The Year 2 times.

Vince Gill’s 1995 album When Love Finds You, “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” A song that has almost become a funeral and memorial service standard in the minds of many, Gill started writing “Go Rest High On That Mountain” after the death of country singer Keith Whitley in 1989. The last line of the first verse contains the title of Whitley’s biggest hit, “I’m No Stranger to the Rain”: Sores americansongwriter.com/vince-gill-go-rest-high-mountain/
I to served during Vietnam, but never actually in country. But my respect for those who gave all, and yes, all gave some. I lost friends in Nam also, and even now at 72, I still cry every time I see a fallen soldier, airman or marine coming home for their final salute.
@@billyjoe415 thanx Billy, I was 173rd ABN/Ranger. I was at Dak To and every day was a miserable day for us. Everyday someone or several good men left laying down. I am finally over it but the memories linger for us all. My dad (career army man WWII and Korea) once said tome that I may leave the war but it will never leave me and those words resonate with me when I watch these videos. Ism so glad you did not have to see and endure that carnage but I know inside you felt it. Thank you for your service and may God Bless you.
I love Diamond P Ranch it's beautiful I went there in 1998 when I was on a cross country RV trip and I went on a horseback ride there and I enjoyed it very much! I'm glad to see it is still owned by the same family. I hope I have a chance to go back there some day!
The violent coup de grace of the American Government on November 22, 1963 by rouge elements of the United States Military, President Johnson, the CIA, the FBI, and the Military Industrial Complex have given this nation 60 continuous years of war. That's not an opinion, that's historical fact. On October 28 1963, President Kennedy fired the head of the CIA Allen W. Dulles and issued a directive memo that would end America's involvement in the latest CIA adventure, Vietnam. Kennedy believed that the CIA was out of control getting the US involved in things like the Bay of Pigs, and expected Vietnam to be just as unsuccessful. In Kennedy's own words, he wanted to end the CIA, break it up into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds. That all changed on November 22, two days later President Johnson countermanded Kennedy's directive with one of his first acts in office, Ordering more troops sent to Vietnam and naming Allen W. Dulles to the President's Commission on the Assassination, to act as a guide to assist Chief Justice Earl Warren in the production of the Warren Report. 10 years later and before the end of the Vietnam War, November 1973, that same power structure that killed Kennedy, designed, lobbied for and authored a bill and worked hard to pass that which became The War Powers Act of 1973, which effectively removed the requirement for Congress and only Congress to Declare War, with the War Powers Act, any President can send troops into harms way and is only required to notify Congress of his actions, since that time 50 years ago, Presidents have sent troops into harms way 133 times, not counting what's going on right now in the middle east or Ukraine. Fact, since the United States first became a nation in 1787 when our Constitution was ratified by all the United States, and 1973, a 185 year period, the US Congress had only declared war, a total of 5 times. Stop the madness, repeal the War Powers Act of 1973 and restore Constitution so that only Congress can declare war.
I am glad to see how things have changed. When I brought Brother Jose home 41yr ago it. Wasn't as nice. He was a Vietnam War Hero who reenlisted as a Pvt to come back to ANGLICO.
