Bonjour et merci. Achetée à 135k kms, désormais 192k. J'ai eu la chaîne de distribution à remplacer (6ans, 60k kms), turbo et accessoires, joint cache culbuteur, compresseur de clim. En 5 ans j'en ai eu pour aussi cher de réparation moteur que de prix d'achat. C'est une super caisse, vraiment agréable à conduire, quand ça marche. Donc oui, le moteur n'est pas le plus fiable et à suivre avec attention en entretien.

@@romainbernard99 c'est pas la préconisation, c'est la durée de vie de la chaîne avant que j'ai à la remplacer. Une chaîne est censée être "à vie", avec un changement si vraiment elle s'est trop distendue, mais pas avant 200k kms. La voiture à pas encore 200 milles et en est déjà à sa 3e chaîne. C'est le plus gros point faible de ce moteur.

The most beautiful car - people's Ferrari. I always dreamed of having one, especially with this Porsche tweaked engine. Unfortunately, they are very rare and those that exist on the market are in a state proper for the junkyard.
There aren't that rare, at least not here in France. The V6 are a bit rarer but can be found in good condition, for a certain price. Bought mine for cheap and it's still going strong, it's just not in showroom condition exterior wise.

véhicule full origine, pas de problèmes moteur sur place non, mais turbo + modine refroidissement + bac à eau remplacés avant la sortie circuit et distribution récente.
Nice car and video. Are parts difficult to find? Also, it doesn't seem to have a lot of lift off oversteer like the 306, probably because it's heavier. Thanks
It is indeed heavy, so the rear doesn't move much. Stock parts are getting difficult to find due to the age of the car. Performance partss are mostly inexistant for this car as it isn't modified a lot. basic mods like exhaust and coilovers are about the only thing that is readily available, the rest is very difficult to find.
@@Kalandaari Thanks, I'm planning to get one as 3rd car. I just love it but I don't need another car. Also, in my country I can only find the 2.0 16v 136hp, which is not the ideal. If I bought it I would try to get it to a stock and mint condition, but now I don't know since parts are limited. I have mix feelings hehe.
@@Kalandaari it's not popular for tuners because the suspension is a very rudimentary style - McPherson front and rear if I am not too optimistic (might be torsion beam rear), unlike popular cars of the same age like the IS200 which has ultra modern racing suspension - double wishbone front and multilink rear. It's a sci-fi for the Peugeot in terms of stability, even the stock suspension without improved ARBs, no monotube/coilovers etc.
En vrai, excellent châssis, mais l'autre se traînait la bite comme personne, j'ai mis mon cligno, ralenti et pris large pour qu'il double, mais non ce con est resté derrière comme un abruti 😅
I have one that I bought för about 6 years ago. I just love my carside and it was not expensive. It"s a 406 coupe with V6 engine 3.0 and design by Pininfarina, 1999 Light yellow. By one and you Will nerver have another car. Regards from Fotograf Yvonne Karlsson
You should realy by a Peugeot Pinninfarina V6. I have taking in love with my carside and it is a ceep var to maintain, new prata and old prata are easy to find and you can do a lot of the work by your self if you want. i have the same car except mine is satellite gray. i was meaning to ask how does it feel on the track generally speaking? does it handle well? mine has that sport shock button. i can really feel the difference when cornering and definitely on bumps. how about you? EDIT: you can check mine on my channel if you wish so
I don't have the active suspension like you do, but with the Koni Sport shocks, the car feels amazing. It handles really good on track, very neutral and stable, and also quite forgiving when mistakes happen. I did some laps with passengers, and all were very impressed by the handling of the car.
Just a Supersprint exhaust system and a dying catalytic converter ! What you might be hearing as well is the warped brake discs vibrating when I brake, that does make a good sound on video but it's really bad... The EBC brake discs held for 2 or 3 laps before warping, I need to find good discs for the track.
Could be the different engine. 2000 coupes had the new interior of the D9, but still the old engine from the D8 models (ES9J4 with ~192hp). Some enthusiasts also call those coupes a D8.5 due to that. From 2001 onwards, new coupes had the new engine (ES9J4S with ~207hp), that also sounded a bit different.
I had one of these and loved it.......great chassis, a little soft standard but I never worked it. Enjoyed watching this, hardly any tire rub.....I run toyos in my Cooper S, but they seem to work better here. Nice drive
Thanks man ! And even with Koni Sport shocks the car is still a bit soft for track use, therefore I'm planning on installing harder and lower springs. These Toyo T1 Sport are pretty good for normal street tires in dry conditions, but are terrible on wet roads.
@@Kalandaari I think most summer sport tyres are....but I've been told that Hancock's are incredible in the wet....but the Golden rule I guess is.....don't drive fast unless dry! I have an RX8 also, and that's a no no for sure when it's slippy......but when dry it feels like it's mid engine with super balance. Those 406,s are so close to being recognized as classic status....keep it stored if you can and don't sell, they can only go up in value especially the 3.0litre. I always felt it's class when driving it.....timeless beauty and I miss mine
