The 2025 Yamaha 2025 YXZ1000R SS XT-R is listed as being 64.4 inches wide. Is that extra 0.4 inches going to be a problem accessing width-restricted trails?
From what I hear locally with people in PA, I have not seen issues with someone taking a tape measure out, but of course, if they have barriers or bollards out, it can be tight. I know the limits here in PA, 64" for whiskey springs and bloody skillet atv trails, they have some form of rock barriers placed at some entries, but theres usually a trail around as well. I am sure if you're caught with 68-72" or larger unit, you'll be ticketed. I have seen this happen rarely. Smaller parks will patrol (for example Michaux st Forest is 50" limit to trail sxs models, they actively monitor the lots during season for that as well as being properly registered and insured.)
I only have run into that issue in Lewis County, NY, some riders mentioned bridge limitations for weight max, smaller, I am guessing, but did not see it in person. Limited back roads with smaller one-lane bridges. Only place I have seen it or seen it be enforced.
What tires are you using? I have maxxis Liberty 30x10x14. Twice in a week I got a flat. I got to FRO and mostly darkerwater and nothing crazy. Any thoughts?
In Moab, Beverlie used BF Goodrich tires. I have used Tusk Terrabites in the past, but had sidewall issues in our PA rocky state (and flats). Moved to High Lifter X-Comp tires (which I loved on the Honda, never any flats). Next tire will be Maxxis Carnivores.
I got the same unit! Went with the Shock Therapy dual rate kit & Super ATV arms! The new bushing are indestructible! Springs are a must on that unit! Best upgrade I’ve ever spent money on!!
Been there many times. Too expensive IMO for the size of the park. I stopped going because the parking area becomes a zoo and the people who run it don't enforce their own rules. AOAA is a far better trail system, better run facility. It's also cheaper.
@@TheBeatenTrail Yes exactly. I would take my younger son who rode with me on my 2up Can am and it would cost me an additional $30 for a 9 year old to be a passenger. Honestly stopped going because the parking area was just getting ridiculous. People speeding, roosting, and just being idiots.
I have a friend that just bought a new Talon. He has put thousands extra in it and we will all be heading the West Virginia in a couple months. Hope it works for him and he doesn’t have any issues. Oh, I just bought his 2022 RZR Pro XP from him 😊
The Talons are built great, not a superb suspension or ride, but love the belt-less operation. Sadly, had entirely too much electrical issues with Live Valve etc. The unit needed a bit of work, and at 68-70" she's too big for my NH and Maine trips planned...so new ride, and maybe I'll grab up a new model 1000X in the future without the LV. I know a lot of riders who have Talons for years and thousands of miles.
Thanks for putting this from film to video an Sharing So glad to see you enjoyed your day...I live in the general area but honestly I've never had the opportunity to ride in it...
Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching, I try to visit a lot of the local poker runs and events and this was my first Snirt so it was a lot of fun hoping to get back up there in August.
