I'm just a 70's kid raising my own kids, making Kombucha and listening to awesome music! I mainly will be concentrating on reaction videos, but from time to time I might throw in the odd "home life" video as well. Thank you to everyone who is joining me on this journey and I appreciate you al!
My problem was holding everything in. Almost committed suicide. Got help to deal with depression and anger issues. I was told by doctors and therapist to not hold it on and to talk and express myself. Now that I do what they told me to do my wife and other just look at me like a deer in headlights and don’t even try to understand. Now I feel even more lost
@@MrsRealistic thank you. I have mentioned couples therapy, she doesn't want it. I'm not saying I'm perfect myself. I've made mistakes and have health problems. I was dealt a bad hand but I'm still at the poker table trying to bluff my way to a win. My son is almost raised but still have a few years left for my daughter. So as I get her grown and things don't change I'm gone. Never knew my dad and my mom had more boyfriends and husbands that I lost count. Trying to be there for them since my home life wasn't the best. It's hard getting up every day but I continue to do so and try my best for my kids. They are the only thing keeping me going, especially my daughter. Take care!!
In this generation females don’t care about our feelings that’s why I rather not show emotion act as if I don’t care, I no longer get too attached to girls so when they leave/cheat I don’t suffer like I used to, the only way I can cry is when I’m really drunk witch is good
It’s gotten to the point where I’m tired of trying in relationships so now I just want to be the guy that girls call while their boyfriend is at work or busy:)
One of my favs of theirs is "To Make You Feel My Love". A humorous panty dropper that they put out a couple of years ago as a Valentine's Day gift for their fans.
Ive listened to this song probably, 20-30 times. It hits me hard....there is no help... you cant say what you want to say without being flagged or labeled. Therapy makes you look like even more of problem. I dont have my mom anymore to fix me inside. My dads emotionally non existent I tried to tell my wife, but its deaf ears. You cant tell people youve wanted to end it. Your a danger.. the only one who listens is god, angels is all we have to talk to..
Ahh, welcome to gearhead musicians corner lol. Don't feel bad not knowing what half.......or ......all this stuff is or means. It's what makes the sound..............sound the way it does. I've been into this for over 4 decades as a drummer/singer in club bands I learned guitar/bass/and keys over those years and have enjoyed the growth of tech that has happened since the late 70's. The video of Ale's equipment is awesome cause you get to hear her talk the whole time without interruptions from certain older sibs lol. And of course I'm partial to Poa's gear vid cause we're drummer/singers.
This song hits very close to home for me. I spent almost 20 years in a very abusive relationship. I never reached out for help because when I did say something about it I was ridiculed and belittled. She beat me so bad that I had to be rushed to the hospital. My children seen everything. I escaped after that. About a year later, still in the healing process, I met a beautiful woman with a golden heart (or so I thought) who had been through the same trauma. After about 6 months of being together the abuse from her started. First emotional then mental then recently it began to become physical. I attempted suicide in April. I checked myself into inpatient treatment and because I chose to seek help , I abandoned her. She threw me out after I began setting boundaries. After 5 years of supporting her and walking hand in hand with her dealing with the long term effects of her abuse I was thrown away like yesterday's rubbish. I am currently a single father of 5 and homeless. They deserve so much better. I am without my meds. I'm really struggling to keep it together. I've been begging for help and I've received nothing but judgement and ridicule. I can't keep going. Please, I need someone, anyone who cares. I can't do this anymore
Animosity just floors me, how they conceived that song at their ages is just so impressive. QOTMS, the whole album, WOW! Particularly for me Red Hands, Dull Knives, QOTMS, and The End just fantastic
Piano lessons helped them exponentially, they are all certainly naturally talented BUT it's their love of music and their dedication and work ethic that is their real talent
"Country Fried Pop Medley" is another video from roughly this time, only slightly less blatantly humorous, and an impressive arragement. Well sung, I might add.
Any Maids track always ROCKS!!! The ladies are in their early 30s now and have been rocking for almost 10 years with plenty of Solo work from Misa, Kanami and Akane. The great thing is they always look so happy. Try Thrill the track that blew them up on the world stage, after a slow start it suddenly went viral outside of Japan (the label was about let them go when this happened in 2015), Freedom, Onset, From now on, Without Holding Back, Hate? Are all great tracks and they have an extensive back catalogue. Welcome Masters and Princesses to the 5 Band-Maid members: SAIKI Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “Ice Queen" - Lead vocals, arrangements and melodies. The youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. MIKU Kobato (Me-Ku), "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals and lyricist. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR Spokes Pigeon. I believe she couldn’t play when she formed the band and was tutored by Kanami. KANAMI Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want is more! AKANE Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party! MISA (Me-Sa), "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass. An alluring free spirit driving her 5-string to rapturous low-ends while pulling off surprising counter leads with Kanami. Sometimes seen as the Mysterious One because she lets her instrument do the talking, the Assassin literally kills it… every note uniting Band-Maid’s world-class rhythm section. A slug of JB, a slight grin, and let the slappin’ begin… MISA! MISA!
this was the first song i heard by the dear hunter back in 2015 and for the past nearly 10 years now, theyve been my favorite band. this is still one of my favorite songs of theirs. its a compositional masterpiece. glad you enjoyed it! this video reminded me of discovering this song for the first time. explore the rest of their Acts albums. and their newest - antimai - such an incredible shift in their tonality with more of a scifi setting while still maintaining the soul and compositional complexity, if not pushing that even further. casey and co. continue to blow me away and ill always be able to come back and listen to their work. if you want to hear another incredible track check out Ring 5 - Middle Class off Antimai.
This still makes me laugh. And I appreciate that we focus on HomeFree’s badonkadonks rather than the ladies’. This was dropped just before April Fools 2015. - Honkytonk Badonkadonk, Trace Adkins 2005 - Wiggle, Jason Derulo & Snoop Dogg 2014 - Fat Bottom Girls, Queen 1978 - Baby Got Back, Sir Mix-a-Lot 1992 - Thong Song, Sisqó 2000 - Country Girls Shake It For Me, Luke Bryan 2011
The guy in the short cover all at the end is Eric Buegler ( Buegs) he is a friend of Rob. Him and Rob have a movie review podcast called The Avid Indoorsman. He is in a few Home Free videos ( Honey I’m Good , Friends In Low Places,Can’t Stop The Feeling and more I believe. He even comes on the stage once in awhile when they sing this song which is fun 😂 He is also an amazing singer he recently collaborated with Hound And Fox on as song called Rainbow Connection ( Lullaby Lyric video ) they just released. The gentleman in the cowboy hat is Chris Rupp. He is Adam ‘s ( beatboxer) brother they founded the group 2000/ 2001. He left the group in 2016 and Adam Chance aka Chance replaced him.
The big guy in the cut-off overalls is Buegs, Rob's friend. Having him appear like this, besides being funny in itself, is a nod to the song and video Girl In a Country Song, which calls out country videos for being so heavily adorned with women in Daisy Duke shorts and bras. The video includes several guys dressed like Buegs is here. ETA: Buegs sings tenor in another acapella group. I have wondered if they have considered him for Austin's replacement. I don't know what his voice is like, other than tenor.
Chris Rupp (baritone), Adam's brother, founded Home Free in his college dorm room. He resigned from the group and went solo about 7 years ago. He currently has two YT channels, ChrisRuppOfficial and 7thAve Band. On the band channel, he does material with a revolving set of artists including his sister, actress/singer Tristin Rupp. 7thAve hasn't posted much material in the last couple of years, but the solo channel is still very active. Chris plays keys on some of his material. Sometimes his mother plays keys. His guest artists on the "solo" channel include Peter Hollens, members of Home Free, etc. Wide variety of styles. So, he's another sub-rabbit-hole you could go to.
@@MrsRealistic Yup. Some of us were in line when they passed out DNA, and some got caught behind the door. (Just kidding. A large part of "talent" is hard work. I know that.) Tristin has done a number of movies, starting in the Indie culture in Minneapolis (where I knew her), and later also Out West. She appeared in one episode of Criminal Minds in 2014, as the schoolteacher for Hotch's son, with the implication that she might become Hotch's new love interest. But the writers decided to go a different direction. And she's done print work, including appearing on the anti-shoplifting cardboard packaging for this or that product. From what little I know, she's nice. All of the family are nice. If you'd like to hear Chris' whole tenor-to-bass range in one solo multitrack song, find "Amazing Grace" on his Official channel.
Fun fact. Layne stein from voiceplay did this arrangement for home free with their input. They're friends. The overall guy us a best friend of Rob invited to the shoot to goof off.
They simply had way too much fun producing this song and video presentation. Their entertainment value is top dollar with everything they do. Their customer base receives the best from them every time. Very creative juices and exceptional produced music that keeps our hearts thumping along with smiles and feel good feelings....❣
Great reaction! This is such a fun mashup of songs. Very cleverly done from one song to another. The talent these guys have is phenomenal. They have so much fun but the vocals never suffer. And Adam's beatboxing is on another level. Home Free was very respectful in this video about not exploiting or offending any women. The guy you didn't recognize is Chris Rupp (brother of Adam Rupp the beatboxer). He co-founded Home Free with his brother but left later to pursue solo projects.
@@MrsRealistic It’s older, with founder Chris Rupp, but a good cover. ✅ BTW - If bassist Tim Foust has long hair in the video, it was filmed before Covid. He stopped dying it and cut it off while they were stuck at home.
The ways she can deliver a song can vary a lot, depending on circumstances, her mood, the location, how she feels things in the moment. And she sometimes reinterprets her songs in some live sessions or specific concerts, from slightly to completely (tempo, mood, orchestration, etc...). It's part of what makes her music so interesting, especially live. As comparison, to check out privately, here are 2 other live performances of this song, both just in acoustic set up: - Runaway is the first song of: Aurora: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert (2015): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-evBgLWQwAFA.html - AURORA - Runaway at 101.9 KINK | PNC Live Studio Session (2022): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4bbuR-qnFlg.html Anyway, thanks for this nice reaction to Aurora, this fabulous singing little giant (don't be fooled by your eyes, she truly is a giant...🙃).🙂👍
Even if you are not a gear nerd, like myself, just watching these amazing young women talk about things is entertaining, such humble, intellegent and goofy people!
The first time I saw a guitar effects board was in 1972 for Yes guitarist Peter Banks created by Pete Cornish designer of electric guitar effects and other electronic musical instruments. He is mainly noted for his elaborate fully custom guitar pedalboard systems. He has worked for Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. The Peter Banks board was the first one he made.
