Trucks coming and going from Irish ferries park along there and back in the day you could get a little ferry from the end of that road over to a place called Neyland before the cluddau bridge was built
I sat in this gen back in HS. It was such a horrible little thing. It was less than 4 years old maybe less than 2 and it was just falling apart. Every Ford I've interacted with from the last 10 years just falls apart and breaks down. Not good cars at all.
When i was a young lad in the 70s, our cars looked like rust buckets, with biscuit tin floor pans, sometimes corn flake box card. Nowadays, they virtually look new as they're going to be scrapped ! What a waste !
Owner was strolling around on the forecourt next to MOT station and spotted his next car and they wouldn't take a part-ex. No time to sell so easy option. As for saving it owner fills in logbook as scraped so no transfer after that.
MOT it to get a better price only to find out the best price is from a breaker, it's not going in the crusher, it'll get pulled apart and sold in bits.
I remember a Silver Y reg xr3i getting towed out of a garage to be sent straight the scrapyard/crusher and it was clean, I spoke to the driver who collected the car and he said it belonged to the lady’s brother who passed away and she didn’t want anybody else to have it.
These cars would be fixed and still be running in N America , don’t have forced yearly inspections , has part stores you can fix vehicles yourself ….my Honda has 2000000 miles still going
Everyone puts an mot on a car before sale to bosst the price. .. Perhaps the same philosophy was used here? Just trying to make the car more interesting, so it would be taken away.. Sometimes if people own a car thats no longer required, can be a pain to shift it it that person not really a car guy amd not sure of the process...
Kev, I never thought I’d actually see you out on the road. Thanks for acknowledging me with a toot and a wave this morning. Grey transit custom, M3 Winch S/W exit. 📣🤙
