No offense but that was one of the worst calls I have ever heard. He missed the delivery, he wasn’t excited, and plus this is a 108 year sports drought and he acts like it’s a little league game. No emotion what’s so ever. To wait 108 years for that. 😂
In the bottom of the 10th I asked my dad if we could switch from the tv broadcast to 670 since I wanted to hear them call it and not Joe buck. Since there is a tv delay, we heard the call that they won before we saw it, and my father, a life long cubs fan who saw multiple heartbreaks, said he didn’t believe them and had to see it. It wasn’t even a joke I don’t think. He heard the call and immediately doubted it. That is what being a cubs fan was like.
You wonder how many times Pat Hughes thought about and practiced that call, he nailed it of course, but that had to have thought over how he was going to say that a thousand times as the Cubs climbed closer and closer.
Great video young man. Loved it, and I don't even watch alot of baseball, but I love sports. These moments of young men who worked hard, hoped and sacrificed for so long seeing their life long dreams come true and capturing that moment brings tears to my eyes. In a world of much suffering and often evil, this is pure good. Please do more. Great job with this, and I love your enthusiasm for it as well. Well done.
