Did lotus Evora implement us? There wasn’t any body roll in those hard corners, very impressive for the times!

LOVE the whole style, especially the nice building & entrance; would have been so smart to keep some bits & pieces alive; to display experience & tradition; regrettably all companies renew everything -- including logos & letters -- sad (and unsmart)

they should have just offered it -- at no matter which premium (price on top)

In 2007 I took my Exige S to VIR for a Lotus Car Club day. While there I had the chance to speak with one of the engineers on this active suspension project and it was one of the very best conversations/lectures I've ever had. I'll never forget it. I still love driving Lotus cars!

Oh Please James, if I had a pound for every time someone said that…These cars are easy to maintain. If the service plan is followed then you have a very robust car, but a truely rewarding car to drive like no other... Have you ever driven a Lotus?

God the factory looked so dark dingy and adhoc, but they produced them! Compare the building of yesteryear to assembly of today!

Colin Chapman was very set in his ways on certain things, & one of those was that the Hethel factory should not change from that of the original architect's design. Some internal factory walls were requested to be built by one of the production department managers & Chapman firmly said No, no alterations were to be made (even if it did help or speed-up line production) & bizarrely the reason he gave was if the Lotus Cars business did actually fail, then he could clear out Hethel at minimal cost & without any building alteration works & rent out the factory easily to a new tenant...!?! 😲😲😲

I think this video is fabulous and believe the new Emira is doing something very similar in the ethos of this Lotus philosophy, I am ignoring the EV argument as I believe 90% of people are just blindly following others and I don’t believe it is the future of the vehicle industry. My Emira is on order. 😊

............Kudos to you for maintaining this vehicle I have two cars benz w 115 and 123 Both vehicles do not run very badly The w 115 car was the official car used by the world’s first prime minister My dream is to get those 2 cars running It is not easy The politicians of sri lanka have stolen the national economy and the whole country is in debt to the world The country is now being run by IMF and world aid Everything is taxed Just breathing is not taxed I have seen benz cars abandoned in some countries which are in the best condition Both my cars have about 60% damage to the bumper Recovery is difficult If you have the body of the w 115 or 123 cars in you possession, I would be grateful if you could provide me with the body of those cars. Also, if there is any possibility to help me in making these two cars, I would be grateful Sorry if there was a mistake…… I am also a person who loves benz cars…………………

some years ago there were cars like you say you need everywhere ,today all have been sold for parts or restored to the minimum and sold for a fortune ,in 2005 i got for 2.000€ a perfect 300D with electric options as the windows and sun roof were with special wheels and had 150.000km´s, it was the personal car from a woman from a very rich family, i only cleaned it and sold it for 750.000€ as it looked new but what surprised me the most was all the original buttons ,big and chromed plastic as if it could be chromed were original from 83, never had seen in other brand´s cars with the original contacts working for such a long period of time, and i only sold it because i have a 300D and a 300D turbo bought when they were new, kept in perfect condition as i have a lot of mercedes being the oldest from 1959 this working perfect and looking also

I had a 1987 Isuzu Impulse "Suspension by Lotus" , It was a great car but a little under powered, So, I stuffed a v6 turbo in it from a Trooper II.. After relocating the battery and taking out some seats and AC system and putting a few more mm of tire under it.... It was on a rail.

The Audi RS6 and 7 uses something similar but with pneumatics rather than hydraulics. The settings can be changed on the fly, the ride is great, and the handling is very good, esp. considering it weighs 2 tonnes. It corners flat as well. Thank you Lotus ! BTW I remember the Formula One cars using this to great advantage. I'm glad the technology transferred somewhat to road cars. Of course they banned it along with active aero and later turbocharging. All these innovations had me glued to the F1 season. Since the 90s I've barely watched a race.

In 2022 this segment would have involved 20 explosions, an attack-helicopter, 300 quick-cuts, a brief chat about the 0 to 60 time, and 70 images of the car sitting still, surrounded by smoke and LAZERs in an aircraft hanger. Back 1983 they spoke toyou like an adult who may be interested in the engineering and how cars work.

Honestly this format of top gear is still better than the current tripe they're putting out since the magical trio left, the only one worth his salt is Chris Harris, and even he doesn't go into much technical detail of any of the cars, it's gone too far into the comedy side of Top Gear
