how these guys never hit with the rest of that garage rock era in late 04... i'll never understand. the black keys took the throne that these guys always have had.
Wikipedia - Blanche is an American alternative country band from Detroit, Michigan. Their music is based in Americana, early country, and folk blues, with a touch of haunting Southern Gothic stylings and garage rock mentality. Blanche is known for wearing vintage fashion of the early to mid-20th century.
interesting like 1967 retro meets punk meets bkues leads,,,,, they have a vibe better than truck drivers playing van halen leads,,, a female rod stewart,,,,, she has a retro star quality,,, the bell bottom pants are cool ..... guitarist if more effects and added drone tone... an eventide H9 pedal If I played lead in the band ... then famous would happen....clean parts,, more smashing pumpkin sound would make them famous,,,,,
One big REGRET I missed this !!! Was in Detroit, just 30 mins east of my home !!!! Still, we get a lot of great music come thru on tour and still some local blues. Not like it was in the 70's though.
I love the cobras and I have to be honest here... I love watching them get themselves together and play again, but Marcus isn't it... Nagy had a soul that drove the band, the voice that she had was perfect for what they were playing... you knew it was the cobras when you heard her voice... marcus doesn't have that profound voice that defines the sound, he just blends in... I'm sorry, love you guys but he's not it.
I love Jeremy Spencer. He is to Elmore James what Stevie Ray Vaughn was to Jimi Hendrix. They idolized their heroes, and did a great job of honoring them. Live on Jeremy!!!
Jermey Spencer's Fleetwood Mac featuring Peter Green. That's what the orignal band should have been called. Now, just go listen to Elmore James, Jeremy's greatest influence.

Oddly the You Tube God or algorithm has selected out lots of stuff I would have loved to watch years ago. All since WK passed on to the Super group in the where ever. South Lyon used to be out in the sticks, sort of like Hamburg. Where the MC5 relocated from the Hill Street house .
I've been cataloging/valuing my Floyd albums...dead wax run outs of conventional albums. I thought I had an impressive collection of about 70 albums ending with the Final Cut and several solos...includes rare, mint/unopened early variations and imports, plus a few 'less conventional' albums. As I said, I have an impressive collection...but yours...IMPRESSIVE, ASTOUNDING, INCREDIBLE, STUPENDOUS, ETC, ETC! Great to see, thanks!
