hey love ur videos i got a bmw x5m f85 im from australia cars got 150tho Km and drives perfect only thing is that when i come to a complete stop and after say 10-15 or so seconds the car feels like it down shifts or like jerk kinda movement but im not moving do you think it could be the solenoids? thanks
Thanks for this video brother, very helpful. I used it to swap my "supposed" bad mechatronics with a known working one, but the new/replacement has me still throwing the same exact code, and I still can't drive my car. I have a 2013 F30 335i, 8HP, and I'm throwing one single code "EGS 420641 - Parking lock defectively engaged: plausibility, driver's command/sensor feedback." I ran through ISTA diagnostics and at the end it said "replace mechatronics". Well, apparently that wasn't my problem because I still can't shift in to any gears. Whenever I try to put it in R, D, or N, it just kicks back to P. Do you have any knowledge on the parking lock by chance? Thanks!
That's a nice touch to your engine bay. Hey Grant question for you. Do you know of any available upgrade to auxiliary oil cooler on the F10's? We seem to not get the same love as the F3X/F8X models.
Grant, I downloaded bimmer link and it won't allow me to code a 100 AH new battery but on your screen it doesn't appear bimmer code will either ? I saw 90 AH and 105 but no 100 AH. I don't want to spend $60 for nothing ..

I have a TurboSmart on my Audi A4 and I really enjoy the added sound, but still on the fence as to whether it is something I want on the F10... Grant, could the solenoid be replaced without removing the unit?
I tried this. At first it seemed like a great idea, refubishing a plastic piece, for a few euros. But it turned out to be 3 hours of work, and the result is quite bad, because the seal does not sit flush with the windshield (there is like a 5mm gap, between the plastic and the windshield window). It is hard to explain, but the seal should have a bit of a different shape to make a better fit. I've now decided to buy a new piece, which I think will cost about 90€
@@simonsambolec I understand. I will do the same operation too soon. I will buy the same rubber but with doublesided tape,,his is without. Try to make it stick and settle bit by bit with a little help with heatgun
Hey mate i have a question what is the role of viofo HK5 it is to constantly giving power to the camera? I’m interested to buy VS1 but i just want the camera to function only when car is on so does this camera have to plug to car charging port with cable like some other camera do or i should buy HK5 and then connet to electric “stuff’s” to activate the camera. I would really appreciate if you would help me with this concern And do you recommend this camera ?

Grant im getting the transmission malfunction error in my f10. I mostly notice hard down shifting from 2-1. My f10 is at 145,000 miles and getting clutch A disrupted code. So I bought the pan replacement kit but im also now thinking of replacing mechatronics while I am down there. Let me know your thoughts if possible.

Had to take out the cheap hpfp I got from Amazon and put in a much better one, now I can't stop driving it. Just got a sweet set of 22x12 - 22x10.5 BBS off of Ebay for $1000, my baby's got new shoes. I'm power-watching your videos for ideas, I think you've talked me into replacing my downpipe... I have a need for speed. Keep up the lessons, we'll keep coming to Beemer school. 👍
I filled up coolant this morning but every time I have to fill up once a month I think there is a leak I don’t know where my dad will take it to the mechanic and they will check it out and see what is wrong with it and fix it.
I changed out the low beam in this video. These bulbs have been in the car for over 1.5 years ang I can guarantee that this was not the high beam on this car. Maybe it is different on your vehicle with your options.
