Yes you could indeed do that. I have other videos and guides on how to kill him also. However in the speedrun, we can actually 'defeat XATM' for the 50 AP on the first forced encounter outside the Communications Tower. Then he continues to chase us out of Dollet, which is why we need this information to avoid extra encounters.
I'll never understand the appeal in speedrunning entire games, these people are mildly insane and completely ridiculous, but it's kinda cool to watch, so thanks.

hi sorry for all the questions, i cant seem to get background inputs to work on my ps5 controller with the HD remaster but it works with the vanilla PC version
This specific tutorial is for the 2013 release. If you are interested in speedrunning the game I would say it has better resources than the HD version and might be worth looking into if you already own it.
yeah i have ended up just using the 2013 version to keep it simple :) have you ever had a 2 anacondaur encounter after the single one on the way up to the radar tower in Dollet? just had it happen and never seen it before haha @@awesomewaves
Correct, the guide includes the first 3 frames which contain Q card if you mash fast enough. There is also another guide on my channel for EarlyQ and 2nd try Zell which might show you some other options to get EarlyQ card. @@Dienex

I also remember that I have played this demo back in the day and it is amazing that they did a demo for this game. It is unique to the final product and it makes me wonder what other pnc adventures got demos.
youre an absolute legend for this. i got a 8bitdo pro+ today that ive been struggling to set up, this method works and now the controller works with FF8 and Chrono Trigger. Thanks for sharing, saved me a big headache :)
i am starting to find the world of rpg speedrunning. this is amazing stuff. i want to try it some day but i don't have 8-10 hours to sit and play a game. if i save at certain points and come back to the game the next day...would it affect anything in the game or do the runs need to be done straight without turning off the game?
Hey, you could absolutely play through these notes in a more casual style. Only step count related stuff and some manipulations would be effected by saving and reloading. Good Luck with it =)

dud bro thanx so mach for your help. your smart. at moment I got my ps 4 working but anlog not working as of yet. why I did not like my steam controller becuse it never shakes when useing the gun blade.. but tanks I get it soon
