3:19, instead of doing all that work just use a hairdryer and easily take of the labels, 5:34 I bottom water when I feel too lazy to do it, it’s nice if you have something to do but I recommend top watering for cactuses and succulents, they usually experience long droughts and huge rainfalls and I don’t think bottom watering can replicate that, correct me if I’m wrong

There is too much stuff on the internet saying you need to get these plants and these fertilizers and this soil, just do what works for your plants choose what plants you want and know can survive where you put them. Also don’t spray your plants it doesn’t increase humidity.
broo my lil baby fiddle leaf fig dropped ALL of it's leafs, I was super worried, but then I saw sprouts coming off the leafless trunk, and I shouted, "OH MY GOD IT'S ALIVE!! IT'S ALIVE!!" so keep watering a plant even if it has no leaves! oh also I trimmed the trunk so the leafs near the middle had more room and then realized the spot I trimmed had a sprout on it!! I put it in some water and tbh I thought I had killed it- BUT THE SPROUT OPENED UP INTO A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE LEAF! I thought that lil fiddle leaf was dead when it lost its leafs, but obviously not >:O i'm so happy and stunned at the plant's performance. genuinely thought they were dead

Usually the new soil you buy in the store is already fertilized, so just normal water, otherwise it would be way too much 🥰 dont fertilize etc for about 6 weeks or even two months
2:53 please this is so true. My snake plant has been overwatered, underwatered, had pests, years without fertilization, and had pots with no drainage holes yet it's still alive and healthy. This plant is a gift from god or something cause it refuses to die
I wonder how people bottom water their plants while keeping the soil in the pot and keeping the water clean whenever I try to bottom water I end up with a murky solution of water in soil filling in my pot and EVERYWHERE
Half of the videos: don't water your plants from the top, bad, bottom water them. Other half: so what's really good is to water your plants with the showers head.
Because different plants and different places all need different things. Example is my snake plant, she likes top watering pretty much a shower once a month and has given me 5 babies over 2 years. Whereas my purple velvet plant likes bottom watering and has vined out so much I had to clip her due to lack of space. It all depends on you, your plant, your area. Everyone finds their own way ❤️👍
Oof the misting succulents one right at the start. NO it is NOT normal for them to rot. DO NOT WATER or MIST them. They will make roots on their own. You should have almost 100% success rate when it comes to succulents. Losing some to rot just because you want to mist them for no reason just wastes cuttings.
Somehow I kept a succulent alive for 3+ years and then we had a winter storm which knocked out power and killed it. I am still trying to figure out how I did that 3 years later.
