Not the best track in the country, but with no big sponsors, we do what we have to do to run our cars. You have ideas to help get us a bigger and better track, jump right on in.
@@phippstreecare, Because of the size of the track, we don't have a huge count on number of cars. The most I've see on this track is 11 cars at a time... it was the bomber class.
@@tjracing3243 no it would be a long trip for me. I live in North Carolina. I've been to Maui once before. My wife has never been so I'm hoping we can make the trip once this coronavirus gets under control. I've always been a huge racing fan, I have raced karts and tq midgets myself. Hope I can make it happen.
@@willp8003, I just ordered a brandnew 3 speed manual transmission from NC. They had what I needed. Our track is on the Big Island.... The most Southern dirt track in all of the USA. The track is short and somewhat primitive, but we don't have the Sponsors the the upper 48 states have. Therefore, our track conditions favor the low class cars that can take the punishment this track gives out. You can follow us on FB "Hilo Oval Track", the one with the picture of the Big Island and the #7 sprint car on it. I have a Stock Car you can play in if you're ever here in the Islands. #92 Camaro
@@tjracing3243 I will definitely take you up on that offer. If anyone is willing to rent out their car to race I'd love to run a race out there. Check out these two tracks on RU-vid....East Windsor Speedway NJ closed 2002, and New Egypt Speedway NJ still open. They were my local dirt tracks growing up. New Egypt was a paved oval until 1998, now it's one of the best dirt tracks on the east coast.
No, I wish it was.... 355 with Dart Iron Eagle 202 big valves race heads, with a balance steel crank, lastest digital MSD ignition, small 500 solid lift dirt oval cam from Speedway, Cromolly push rods, ARP bolts kit for the whole engine, full flow water pump and oil pump, Aluminum Radiator, Strip Dominator single plane manifold and a 750cfm double pump Holly Carburetor. The small tube headers sounds super good in this video. The bigger ones ain't as crispy! Runs on 92 pump gas only!
Sounds real nice man im gettin a 65 283 bored .30 over with a mild cam and power pack heads that was in a stock car similar to yours for my 2dr cherokee
John, I grew up with Darin Okuhara back in high school. He's the eldest brother to Todd Okauhara (NHRA Crew Chief) and Scott. Back in the days, they always said that the 283 small block was a good street engine. Seen them put a 30 over 283 engine up to 10,000 RPM. We small blockers don't have the torque, but if you wanna hear a crispy engine, small blocks are perfect for the streets.
Thats awesome im really excited to get this motor its exactly what ive been lookin for for my jeep im tryin to go as far over the top as possible. So if i use a 327 crank that would get me close to 10,000 rpms right or is that the other way around cuz i know they have the same bore size but how can i make it a 301??
