@@GamingHistory. RA3 can never be in the top tier because of its cartoon like graphic, unrealistic movement, worst selection outliner etc. Where as RA2 was far far better than RA3. And Generals ZH its a master piece. In what basis you just ranked !! Only logical explanation of this worse ranking in to trigger the fans and gain some contradictory comments in your video. In which you are successful.
We are the Airborne, of course the Army trusts us the most, We are the Airborne, of course the ladies love us the most, We are the Airborne, of course the Germans hate us the most.
Why are you toggling from high resolution to low resolution? Is there an advantage to doing that? Also, it looks like you have the helicopter automatically following the commando, or, are you just making the helicopter keep up with wherever the commando is going so that you can get him in and out of it as quickly as possible? Thanks for the video. I have been trying to win this level and have made, oh, I don't know, 25 attempts. LOL! I am NO strategist, but I love this game. My best friend was one of the people who worked on the original way back in the 1990s when he was living in Las Vegas, Nevada.
@@GamingHistory. Well, my buddy, Nick deSomov worked on that game. He and I were roommates back in the mid-1980s and had met and became best friends (to this day) when we met while working on the feature film Back to the Future. He and I were background actors, but we also worked behind the scenes on feature films and television shows, doing special effects, miniatures, special effects makeup, and we made props as well. Years later, I became a film and television set sculptor and worked on Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, I also worked on the first three Pirates of the Caribbean films, Minority Report, Cat in the Hat and many more. Nick has worked for Steven Spielberg and the Cameron Brothers among other Hollywood directors and producers. I specialize in character voice-over and have been doing so for almost 40 years now. But, at the core, both Nick and I are old-school gamers. It's how I escape from reality whenever I get the chance.
Back when C&C4's release was fairly fresh, it's failure did come to play on making me create Ani-toonspiracy project(mega-crossover fanseries that exist to fix bunch of my favorite series including Command and Conquer. Among other reasons) Generals Zero Hour was my former favorite Command and Conquer game, in fact one of my projects I proposed besides my mega-crossover was zero hour mod(that's basically rise of the reds with aliens for 6th faction) Westwood's version of C&C3 suit me better than Tiberium Wars(even when Tiberium FPS game can be better sequel for Tiberium Wars than C&C4 not only Scrin's return) CABAL from Tiberian sun was one of my favorite Villain, in fact I make him replaces Plankton's computer wife in my mega-crossover
Red Alert takes the win because it's got hot female characters. Who wouldn't like that?? LOL But seriously tho. Both series are good in their own respective themes. Tiberium being focused on Sci-Fi. While Red Alert focusing on neat future warfare with familiar factions like The Allies and the Soviets.
Yes! both worlds have amazing games, Red Alert 3 had such good vibes and was a very fun and enjoyable game. Tiberian Sun was very gloomy, and had the perfect soundtrack and atmosphere to back it up.
You missed out on Generals, C&C's kid brother, and C&C's grandfather: Dune 2, Dune 2000 and Emperor: Battle for Dune. You also missed out on mentioning C&C Renegade, which has the best multiplayer-mode I've had the pleasure of playing. "RA games are traditionally more goofy" Tell me you haven't played through RA1 without telling me you haven't played RA1. First Soviet mission literally has you destroying a somewhat defenceless village. With planes and numerous paradropped conscripts. Allied briefing mentions how Stalin is willing to sacrifice his own troops to lure the allies into range of his nukes. You even have a scene where an allied spy is executed. RA1 was *war* RA2 was... slightly goofy and, as you say, didn't take itself too seriously - but baring a few funny moments, it felt like it did, considering the universe it took place in: such as mind-control and chrono-stuff. And even then it felt more like a side-note in the story, only coming into focus and active use in the final fights; time-travel doesn't count because it was only touched in YR in each faction's first missions and in the final cutscene. Strictly speaking, the same can be said about RA3, were it not for the fact that RA3 was a sl*t-show among other things. Only redeeming qualities it has are the mods, the good-looking graphics and increased deadliness of the Dreadnought compared to RA2 (simpler weapon-mechanic) - which is dragged down by the RA3 Soviet Heavy Tank masquerading as an Apocalypse without AA missiles because 'balance' and the worst version of Hell March. And don't get me started on all the Support Powers and special abilities that can't be turned off even for a skirmish match - TibWars has the exact same problem. C&C4, as terrible as it is, at least brought back the concept of mobile factories introduced in TibSun Firestorm, which were never seen in C&C before or since, outside of mods. The Nod tracks and certain unit designs are stellar, hence why it is an OK-game, but will always be an abysmal C&C game that never should've existed.
Tiberium minus 4 FTW. Really, no offence to RA3 casts but almost all female character dress like whores. Gameplay wise, it's as if they throw balance, practicality, and viability out of the window, the Allied is comparable to USA in Generals except at least twice as bad or they just intentionally fuck up the Soviet and the Empire. You may perceive the revealing clothes the characters wore as fan service but seriously, why do you want to play a game in the first place? I don't hate fan service but only those that make sense even if the whole thing is dumb.
I share your pain, and I hate EA for releasing this game, damn them, even when the C&C series is laying on the floor on it's last breath, EA still enjoys giving the fanbase a good kick in the stomach every now and then with a garbage mobile game...
My favourite cnc game, if not my favourite game ever, is Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath. At the time CNC4 came out, i was 7 and a half years old. The cd cover and the plastic of the paper smell so good. Still remember. I played both games but still liked cnc3 more... Until my dad fot crazy (he was abusive) and broked cnc4 in half. Only in recent years i could go back to this game and see that no one plays it. Then i saw on youtube the reasons behind it's failure. Now that i remember, even back then as a child i was having hype to play cnc4 on a daily basis but the unit caps, total lack of base building and crippled music & unit design felt wrong. Currently i'm remorseful when it comes to CnC because i feel like we never got the true Command and Conquer 4 we wanted it to be, a perfect, upgraded CNC3 Kane's Wrath sequel. I'm still glad this game is still supported on the Revora CNC Online servers, and i happily play it on a daily basis. Planning to upgrade to a RTX 3060 Ti/RTX 4070 Super to handle this game at 4k max settings, and support higher unit counts without lag. But still with any build CNC3 is the best among all the RTS that i know, in terms of gameplay, music, atmosphere, design and just love pit into the game. 9,5/10
Its a damn shame what they did to tiberium series. The obvious mobile conversion, the discontinueation of the scrin and general betrayal of tye fandom. EA being EA is just a tragedy for this series.
@@GamingHistory. I came in touch with it via the 20y c&c bundle some y ago. And as i was consumed by c&c 1 i felt the love when i was playing renegade. Could have been an awesome game. I rly feld to be in a c&c mission. Totally engulfed in the tiberium wars.
It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since they cancelled generals 2... My friend and I were so hyped for it, we grew up playing generals and zero hour back in 2005
@@GamingHistory.man same. It was a ton of fun. I even had the original cd version of Generals that let friggin Paladins intercept superweapon missiles.
STOP IT RIGHT THERE HERETIC SCUM. Last GOOD C&C game was TIBERIAN SUN FIRESTORM. cNc3 was last (BERELY) acceptable game, and "ra tHrEe" was last (BERELY) playable game. HOW LOW CAN YOU HOLD YOUR STANDARDS, IS GAMING PAD ALL THAT IS QUALITY NOWADAYS?
Legions looks like dog-tihS. The only thing that interests me, like in Rivals and Alliances, are some of the unit designs; they could be adapted for another C&C game or mod. But yeah, Legions is just Chinese-made trash. Goddamn Tencent.
As an example, I look at the Legions' Mammoth Mark 2/Mastodon, and I think, "hey, those railguns look pretty sweet; they'd look great on the C&C4 Mastodon concept". Compositing is the name of the game. :)@@GamingHistory.
@@KimPossibleShockwave I think that c&c4 had really cool unit designs and good ost, like really good, the shame ia that the was was so different from any classic cnc, and for the grand finale dor the saga, it was a bad call by ea
Very bad call; it was originally an Asian web-game spin-off called Arena, and despite the developers themselves saying "bad idea! No go! Do not collect $200.00", EA's management forced them to do it anyway. The Sandstorm, for example, was amazing and would've fit nicely into Kane's Wrath, even if only in the "past" areas of the campaign where Nod is reunifying again. I know it was for asset limitation reasons, but seeing C&C 3 units from like over a decade in the future in a time period which is set just two, three years after Firestorm was... jarring, to say the least. Edit: I meant Arena, not Legions. Sorry, I'm not running on my usually lethal dose of caffeine, heh.@@GamingHistory.
