I'm pretty sure that this song inspired my ex-girlfriend considering my truck now has green racing stripe included windshield and back glass going right down the almost center of it lol. Thanks Dwight
Isaac and the boys are on some kinda roll! Love both song references! They played this one live when I saw them at the Burl a few months back and blew the place away! Can’t wait for my pre-order to get here!
I was lucky enough to meet Richard in 1977 when I was a shop junior in Dundee, where his sister Olive worked. He was nice to me and encouraged me in my songwriting. Almost 50 years later, here he is with his wonderful storytelling and barely controlled virtuosity. Still spellbinding....This is great!
Every song on this album is amazing, such a relaxed vibe. They say 'what's she cryin' for down south because they don't got time for syllables' according to Justin and sweet tea has 8 cups of sugar (Raleigh 2018)
I'm sorry but his timing is all over the place. This feels very off and he has a tendency to do that with this song way more then the others. I feel like Cliffs is too much for him to handle at times. Other known guitarist admit that even they have to alter their compositions to be able to play it, and I get it. At least we have the recording and it is magnificent.
I’m sorry, but I have never seen this performed very well live, from Eric… I’ve never seen him re-create the original recording at all…. takes too many liberties live…. Makes me wonder what was going on in the studio to make it sound so good.
