I think it was empty on arrival. Quite a few people were getting on when we moved from the platform to the bridge. The website stated the tour was sold out.
It takes me back to when I visited there in the mid 80's and there was a replica Royal Train and complete set with all the Royal family and guests there.
What a gala it was! I saw my self it your shots few times. Certainly the best one was the manor and hall and you can se me on the front window of the first coach.
I missed that one, it went right passed where I work about 15 mins before I start but a points failure at Southcote Junction made it nearly an hour late in the end.
Nice!! (My dad had a pair in his back garden, but the Cock kept escaping and perching on neigbour's house calling for his mate - We weren't over popular!!!!!)
I was on the up train at Platform 3 at Woking - probably the carriage you can see at 0:44 onwards - and was delighted to see the 73. If I'd known there was a 33 on the rear, I'd have dashed out to take a shot or at least to catch the stirring sound of a Crompton!
