I from an eastern suburb of Cleveland Ohio. I miss the Metropark system so much. I didn't realize other places didn't have a place to enjoy trees, creeks, and all nature has to offer. Look up metroparks. What you find online doesn't even do it justice. My favorites are in South Euclid's ,Euclid Creek, and Willoughby Hill's Squire's Castle. You can actually hike through the woods, even in the smallest of Metroparks. Where can I hike through some woods here?
Ijams is one of the treasures of Knoxville, tn. (Also the UT test garden on Neyland Dr.) Ijams is a little hard to find & is in 2 pieces, the Ijams proper & the Quarry down the road. It is free and changes with the seasons. There are special events like the Owl prowl, ugly bugs, building birdhouses & other nature programs. Love the frog pond ... looking for the different kinds of frogs on a summer day is enjoyable hide & seek. Come with your family or alone ... its worth it!
