I think that it will eventually come back. Powerful societies grow under the strength of mighty men, and then become fat and lazy. Eventually, something happens that makes them stand up and regain that mantle. Now, September 11th brough our country together and gave us a new generation of warriors, but after the GWOT whittled down, you were left with a weak military that catered to weak people, and really gave no reason for a generation to remain in service, or any reason for the new generation to join. Our fight has turned inward, and American is beginning to question what our role in the world, and as a country, should be. Even folks like Tucker Carlson keep pushing this idea that we should absolutely retreat from all areas of the world and that we're no longer a force for good. If we believe that we're inherently bad, then we're basically just agreeing with our enemies that believe the same thing, but that's not going to appease them or stop them from wanting us dead and buried. Something will eventually happen that will bring about hard times, and hard times breed hard men.
