I just got into pourover coffee a couple weeks ago, and this method has given me the best results so far. It seems like doing the two main pours kind of quickly (around 20 seconds each) as in this video is key. When I've done longer, I've ended up with a long draw-down time and a bitter cup. I'm not sure why exactly. The one change I make is to swirl fairly vigorously rather than stirring the bloom. My last cup was the best I've had anywhere in a long time.
I prefer stronger coffee as well, so I go for some 20 grams of coffee and about 200 grams of water. That is the beauty of Aeropress... James Hoffmann dedicated nice little series to it on his YT channel. I highly recommend it.
Oh this is so bolony.........I have a V60 and I love it. Perfection in its simplicity. However I've tried all the different methods of using it. Do this time, do that time, wait for so long, continuous pour, interrupted pour, weighing to the exact gram the coffee, the osmotic method etc etc etc. After it's all said and done it all tastes the same. It's not rocket science.
Recently I bought 2 packs of Costa Rica and is absolutely beautiful and elegant taste . When I drink this coffee I smile because is such a great coffee but don’t forget that the people are greater 💖 Muças gracias Costa Rica and thank you Horsham Coffer 💖
Hey there, I just did my first couple pour overs with my new V60. I am working on my recipe and technique. I would greatly appreciate feedback on my latest video. Your video was really helpful.
I am sure that the quality of the coffee has a big role in the taste, I usually buy from this site crowns-coffee.com - They provide very distinctive coffee blends, as well as free shipping to America and coffee roasted on the same day. Shipping and this is a good thing
This is a coincidence. I had been wanting to go to Costa Rica for 30 years. We, too, managed to go this February just before the lock down. We visited a - tourist - coffee plantation. The baged up stuff was horrible. The pickers where poor, Nicaraguans and were paid a pittance. It's good to see not all plantations are like this in Costa Rica.
Yes such a lovely country to visit! The coffee does vary a lot and the really good farms have high standards. These are the ones we choose to work with and it was great to be able to visit them in person!
Hi! My brother and I started a coffee brand called Coffee Crew Co! Please check us out! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-b8jDgkaVtHk.html
If the coffee is over extracted, and we reduce the infusion time, are we wasting the remaining un-extracted coffee? Or we are trying to prevent extracting out the unpleasant taste remaining in the coffee?
Pal, i guess your scales have the timer/weight mode, so you probably dont need a phone timer. Try to hold the on/off button to see it. We have just the same looking scales in coffee shope i work at)
@@raphaelcmo it is ACAIA Pearl coffee scale. However, TIMEMORE offers almost identical coffee scale for half the price. It is personal preference which one to buy.
@@hadielka1elka8 it's not, don't always trust Shazam my dude. The track is Assasin by Ikebe Shakedown. Check if you're right before answering at the very least....
@@mhmdalmansoori2419 as you can see I tagged someone, this dude just deleted his comment because he knew he was wrong, he replied with the song that Shazam shows
Beautiful! That's the way I've been making my coffee for several decades. I switched to automatic drip coffee for over 15 years, but recently I switched back to french-press, Aero Press and pour-over. Pour-over is the easiest, the lowest waste, cleanest and has the best-tasting coffee brewing to my taste.
Nice video. I have the same Wilfa grinder. Which setting do you grind on for v60 pour over (i usually put it on the filter setting)? And how accurate do you think the preset settings are for pour over and aeropress?
This would work well with your new Los Nogales El Roble beans, they are incredible, work lovely as a filter too! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-l_-1K6lA62Y.html
