Thanks man really appreciate it! 🍻 Yeah the Marlin is a great body too. If you’re not wanting to do any bobbing yourself that’s definitely the way to go.
@@rquino4210k this would be my first venture into 1/10, so I want something that'll get my feet wet with scaling. My SCX24 is cool, but the scale stuff has really been appealing to me lately
That’s awesome man. Only thing I will say is with the leaf rigs you gotta give them a break in point. The leafs are stiff AF out of the box. Most people don’t like these trucks cause they don’t perform link a link rig does right when you get it.
@@cbmd2011 that’s a big negative Sir. I’ll never claim this place. 😆 I forever will be a Texan I’m looking to get myself out of here too within the next few years.
hi! i'm glad yer postin' videos on TF2s! Did you do a motor clock? i just 'un-clocked' my motor mount because i couldn't clear the the new axles. I just put my Vanquish Rockjock axles on my TF2, i struggled with shock placement, and drilled some holes, amongst other mods.
Thanks man! There isn’t a whole lot out there when it comes to these leafers so figured why not. I did clock the motor initially but just like you there was no room for the axles to clear. I even cut off the link mounts from the pumpkins.
I have a TF2. It's a total POS compared to my other crawlers. It just sits on the shelf. The BRX02 is a far superior leaf truck. So much better quality. Reefs doesn't make servos, they just rebrand them and overprice them. They're actually AGFRC servos.
I get what you’re saying stock these are junk which is why there is very little actual TF2 left haha. A BRX is definitely on my list of rigs to own just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Had no idea about the reefs thing either. That’s crazy
I built a TF2 a couple of years ago running portals. I'm just getting back into portals with a custom built 4 runner. Badass leaf springs you have there. Definitely going to look into those springs
Do you think someone could attach an awning directly to the Crosstrek's roof rails using the GZila awning brackets? I would like to have both a cargo basket and an awning on at the same time, and it would help to have the awning mounted directly to the roof rail. I do not want to drill into the roof rails, by the way
Did you use the JEC racing ar44 leaf springs mounts? Im looking into to axle swapping my tf2, and has me scratching my head because it looks like they attach where the link mounts would go and those rock jocks dont have removable link mounts.
They are from JEC but they are the 10.2 Currie leaf mounts. They sit right in where your shock and link mounts are. jecracing.com/collections/1-10-products/products/jecracing-scx10-2-currie-leaf-mounts
