That was a monster that you passed up and very worthy to let live. Conservation is the name of the game and many people would have probably just taken it. You guys had the trip of a lifetime and brought some of the best eating fish in the world home. Thanks for the epic video and chronicle. ❤

Sad cold beach, sad cold, cloudy weather. It's not a tropical Acapulco beach with palm trees swaying in the wind and always sunny, BUT you do pul out amazing sea creatures from its murky cold waters.
Nice vids, bravo. No permit in France but you have quota for some, as the sea bass/bar AND you must cut the tail (half of it or so) of all your catches.
Hi Jo When I go out and anchor boat on my own I have a long line with a small float on end. So for any reason I can’t get back to boat or I get swept past it I can grab line and pull myself back. Sometimes I even tow boat with me. I’ve even done this with my 5m rib 👍👍👍
Nice video Joe. You do cook up some yummy simple food, however with my teenage boys I'd need to cook up a bunch of rice as well. How does that black grommet over your flopper work?

Inspiring your children with adventures like this Joe! Were you tethered to the boat on some of the pinnacle freedives, as I saw you jump in with anchor still onboard. (I regularly Freedive from my SIB and interested). Excellent video 🤙 Matt
btw that fish is perfect for coal barbecue, that is a great way to cook fish as we do it here in PT; try it, pls (rub fish first w/ oil before going to grill)
