My 2013 6.7 cummins makes this same noise mostly during the winter, pretty sure it’s the injectors not liking all the shit they add to winter diesel. During the summer it quiets down. I run Lucas oil fuel additives with almost every tank. More so during the summer.
Just drove it never did anything to it I put like 60k miles after this video and it’s still going it just got me concerned with this video because I overheated it and to me it’s started to sound different but so far still good
Just had my 2019 6.7 with 132k miles on it. Started this ticking sound, the push rods were warn down quiet a bit because of sticking hydraulic lifters. All the hardware was replaced and the she sounds perfect again
Mine has been doing that at idle, or just off idle, under light throttle actually....been blaming it on the tunes but iam not sure, i need to test my injectors i guess.
Are we really supposed to listen to someone that can’t even structure a sentence properly? Cummins has been building diesel engines a lot longer than Ford so I’ll stick with Cummins and never buy a power broke!
I just put some injector cleaner and been working with it hotshotting so far so good no power loss or anything I put about 30k miles since this video and still running good.. The knocking noise seemed to go away it’s not as noticeable like on the video..
Have the dealer do an injector kill test, if the knock goes away, it would be that injector is dirty or going bad. I have an 18 3500 with the same noise!
