What will happen if I have dyed copper hair and use henna? I'm trying to figure out how to go about this to get the most natural, vivid looking red I can. I don't know if I should start with my medium blonde hair or dye it copper first.
The thumbnail of this video shows a woman with braids , not locs. The fact that you didn’t care enough to even find a picture with actual locs says a lot
Yes, if you are not going to use the cones, you should be freezing them. Freezing them will help them to last longer. You can take them out 30-45 mins before using to make sure they are thawed.
Hair density will play a huge role in how much your hair tangles. Wearing your hair in styles like braids, buns or fishtails can help keep the tangles to a minimum.
@TheHennaGuys thats what everyone tells me I swear I Have a greasy scalp, thick dense hair that just parts down the middle I can't even style it when it's short without using. A ton of product so that's why I grow it out
You will likely want to get a brown henna or hair dye on your hair first. Then use an auburn over that. Since your hair is fully gray, it will need a base color, and using brown will help to get that auburn color. You will want to strand test this method first to make sure it will work on your hair.
I guess I’m not leaving it on long enough I’m trying to cover gray hair and it comes out brassy red almost fluorescent! Does anyone else loose a lot of hair when you rinse this out?
Awesome...just discovered your page and appreciate the commentary. I absolutely love henns to color my hair but haven't done it in a while. Was wondering if you could give insight on how much lemon juice should be used and any tips on coloring gray when using the henna. Thank you 👍 ❤
1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice should be enough. If your henna dries a little during the resting time, you can add more to help loosen it back up. Gray hair can be stubborn to cover, so you might need more than one application for full coverage. Doing a strand test will help you to determine that.
Last night I left my Henna powder overnight ( after adding some water + coconut oil + a lemon ) but because it I did another things first, it happened to be 12 hours , I’m afraid if the brown color would turn into much darker one so I threw it. What a waste! This’s my first time using Henna anyway. In your point of view if I still used it, what color it would turn into? N how long the best time for lighter brown? Thank you so much …
Hello, the brown color does not need a long resting period. Leaving it out for that long will result in a lighter coloring with more red tones. With browns, you only want them to rest for 30-45 mins before applying.
No, toner was not made for blondes only. Its made for levels 1-10 -- black being the darkest and 10 being the lightest. Nowadays, toner don't have ammonia, so why wouldn't it work?
