You are absolutely correct. The body follows the mind. Be diligent. It follows my favorite Bible verse. Luke 9:62- Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
Love this man! Ive been really focused on just improving myself mentaly and physically. I got stuck in ONLY focusing on career stuff which isn't bad but I was neglecting myself. After I started to focus on the Growth Mindset and trying to improve every aspect of my life, I became MUCH happier as a person. Keep sharing things like this because this is where the value is on the internet. This is what young men and women need to see.
Thank you John for this mighty episode. I'm 29 and pretty much wasted my 20's in passivity, pornography, stagnant, and no vision-driven, etc. decade but it's never too late and time waits for no man! Stay Gritty, from Houston, TX. Until Jesus Returns!
I 100% agree! I am not religious but I absolutely see no issue with people practicing religion. I do take issue when people don’t use religion for self improvement and growth and instead just excuse themselves of their own wrong doing. But whenever I point that out I immediately get invalidated for not following religion It’s like, you’re totally missing my point man!
Totally true. There are a lot of people who use the term "religion" to excuse themselves from behaving morally. However, you use the term "wrong doing" which implies there is such a thing as "right doing". Where do you think moral absolutes come from if not from an absolute moral being? Without God, there are no absolute morals.
@@GrittyMenPodcast that’s where I tend to not agree. I believe people tend to have a sense of morality or right and wrong outside of religion. I don’t think you have to be religious to be moral. I don’t believe that morality didn’t exist prior to biblical times because many religious doctrines share many of the same ideas on morality and some were developed completely separately from each other, logically from this I can conclude for myself that it comes from a sense of morality rather than the doctrine itself
I know it’s crazy because I’m a Bible loving Christian, but I totally agree with you. My argument was not to prove or disprove one particular religious sect. The logic is this: 1. If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist. 2. Objective moral values do exist. 3. Therefore, God exist. This logic doesn’t argue for any one religion, it argues for the existence of a god. If you like the logic here and agree that some form of god exists that anchors morals and values outside of ourselves, there are many reasons to believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is who he claimed to be. I’d love to talk to you about it anytime you want! Stay gritty!
Hey there! I'm an OTR truck driver that follows Pastor John's Gritty Men series while driving all over the U.S. He's excellent at addressing the responsibilities of men following our Lord Jesus Christ. You can't go wrong learning how to be a gritty man.
Thank you! I wish more people would listen to you, but I guess you're right, telling the truth isn't really the best way to become popular. But please keep doing it.
Hey! Just wanted to hop on here and say thank you for sharing. You’ve had such an impact on not just my life but the lives around me. My wife’s best friends husband shared this podcast with me & I also tell other men about this page. My wife actually mentioned you and your podcast on her RU-vid page and shared how much you’ve impacted our marriage. So thank you from us and ours, and may continue to God bless you & yours!
Wow! So glad our work here is benefitting you and others around you! There is a ton more to come very soon so keep your eyes open! God bless and stay gritty!
Good word, brother. Glad to know there are other men preaching this truth. For too long, Jesus has been portrayed as a weak and docile man. He is strong. We must find our strength in Him.
Absolutely true! As truck drivers we move forward, push forward and drive forward all in His name! No matter what happens, no matter how tragic, we see Him every day and He lifts our heart and spirits with ever mile we cover. Always look forward and know Christ will never lead you astray!
I agree whole heartedly. Through the study and understanding of his word, balance will be provided through the glory of God. Can you provide some examples on how it can be done through him?
Thank you lord for your words to move me, though they may come in mysterious ways I hear you. And thank you as well whoever created this video, you may not understand how others hear God but you are an instrument of grace. Sincerely, Ormus.
Another great podcast, I’m younger but I’m always striving to be stronger in my walk with Christ! Very encouraging! I have contacting you through the link in your description to find out more information on the camp starting in April! Thanks!
Thanks, John. Always an encouraging listen while I’m at work on my computer! I hope more and more follow and subscribe. It’s a fine podcast a midst 99% of the garbage out there. 👍🏼
If I could I would give it 2 likes. Way to go on the how and WHO to pray to. I have recently been learning to pray and yes it is a beautiful thing. I love praying for my wife and kids. I will certainly pray for you sir that the Lord will bless you and give you strength.
Awesome, just what I am needing. To hear this kind of message resonates with me. Just recently found your channel and it has been what I've been needing and wishing I would have had this a long time ago. Some things are tough to hear but the truth is what I am needing to hear. God bless you sir and keep doing what you are doing.
