dit is geen R500. dit is een gewone ford sigma 1600cc motor met 125pk. de behuizing van de luchtfilter is onderaan opengewerkt zodat de je de motor kan horen "aanzuigen". Er is maar 1 caterham R500 in belgië en dat is het oudere, kleinere chassis. Deze auto is niet meer ingeschreven wegens een ongeluk en een échte R500 is niet gehomologeerd voor de Belgische wegen. (geen raam, deuren,...) De auto in dit filmpje is eerst een verhuurauto geweest en is nadien overgekocht door een privé eigenaar.

it is the same engine out of the TT-RS as already said, its a 5 pot, 2.5 turbocharged producing around 340hp and 450nm. the tt-rs can do 0-60 in around 4.6 seconds so i think the rs3 will be seeing similar performance figures. i think the main competition for the rs3 will be subaru and focus RS as they both run a 2.5 turbo. golf, megane, civic, leon etc will not be in the same league but no doubt they will still try to compare them all!
