Thanks a lot for that educational, well-explained video. I was looking a lesson for this American Football masterpiece. Good job Dave. Greetings from Turkey!!
Finally I learn here the chords I was missing even with other videos. The explanations and breakdown of the parts are excellent. Great job ! thanks a lot. Best video for that song and I will watch more of yours. You rock !
going through a breakup atm and shed is pretty much the soundtrack to it, just got my guitar fixed so am returning to this as i never finished it, i love the vibes you give it seems like yo u're a really patient teacher and i am so here for it, thanks so so so much for the tutorial i could never wrap my head around the bridge Xx
@@samj9264 sorry to hear you're going through a thought time at the moment but I'm glad you're finding some solace in music. It's always something that helps me as well in those sorts of times. I'm glad you're finding this tutorial helpful 👍👍
@@davedoingguitar do you have an instagram? I definitely don’t want to lose you in the pile of online guitar teachers in my RU-vid saved you’re so methodical with your teaching. Thanks for your kind words it means a lot
Wow! I know other people said this but since it's a couple years later and I'm hearing this for the first time I'll repeat it: your voice is great, I dare say it possesses a beauty similar to what Jeff and Elizabeth had going on their version. You sang it so well and it does not seem like an easy song to sing
@@cmberrian thank you so much! Kind words such as yours really mean a lot. Jeff and Elizabeth are untouchable in my eyes but I'm very happy with how this cover turned out. Probably my favourite thing I've done on my channel tbh. Thanks again 🙏🙏
@@davedoingguitar yes, I would also feel proud of I could sing like you. But Jeff, gosh, in my opinion I think he's the best male vocalist I have ever heard, not to mention his genius songwriting and guitar playing. You look younger than me, I was like 23 when Grace was released and I was an instant fan. Actually, my first exposure was turning the radio dial and landing right at the big climax in the song, "Grace", I remember being shocked! Such a great loss.
@@davedoingguitar Actually, first song I learned on guitar was head in the ceiling fan 2 years ago, I did it by your video! Today listened to debut bcnr album for 1000th time and thought, that maybe I can give a shot to sunglasses )
Dave, any chance you take requests? Fancy a bash at The Boy with the Thorn in His Side? Specifically the version from the 95 Meltdown festival. I feel like the tuning might be the same as the tuning you figured out for All Flowers in Time at Selina's.
@@lever7893 really glad you enjoy the videos. I want to put tutorials out for stuff I enjoy and would have enjoyed when I was starting out. Happy to help 🙂
you blood KILLED, murdered, decimated this SO well. this taught me so much about guitar this turorial is my favorite ever thank you so very much. so much love ❤ this literally taught me travis picking and so much more. this was a very challenging song for me but i feel so accomplished now. now gonna work on maybe playing and singing it at the same time
@@lavendercrow680 hey thank you so much for the kind words. Really glad you like the video so much and found it so useful. I'm very glad to have helped ☺️
Ive been playing for just ove 3 weeks and got the basics down, and i tried to play this song. Ive gotten the chorus and outro down, the verse is kinda tricky, but the solos got me bricked. Should I keep practicing it or come back when im more experienced?
@@alt-acc9391 hey that's awesome you've started playing. Whether you're a beginner or have been playing for a while, it's good to not get bogged down in a section so I'd park it for a little while and come back to it down the track when you've got a few more tricks up your sleeve. But sounds like you're making great progress so early on. Good stuff 👍👍
Hey man you do the best Jeff Buckley tutorials on RU-vid and I always wanted to learn Just like a Woman from him. If you’re able to do this thank you so much dude 🙏
