Exactly what I needed to see except my glazing bead is "L" shaped and need to be lifted out from the corners. Everything else was as you showed it. I did break one of the glass panes as the corner I started at happened to have an excess amount of sticky mastic globed in it and made it the most difficult beads to remove. If I had started at any other corner I probably wouldn't have broken the pane. Thanks!
My screen doesn't slide. There are no tabs or pull screws at the top either. I can feel the springs when I push left or right but the thing just won't pop out.
Hey, Danny watched your video. My problem is I'm having trouble with a couple of my windows. What I need is new window pivot shoes. Problem is I don't know the manufacturer of my windows. No markings anywhere. What do I do.
omg I have almost the exact piece! That notch on the bottom of the frame, what is that? The two frames are IDENTICAL. How did you date this? How do you salvage it?? I Have so many questions! The first person on RU-vid talking about windows did the best job. So many people don't know how to explain. I was watching videos on how to remove the screen. Everyone who explaining went super fast. I am an Engineer by Profession. You are the only one who did justice, got an A. Many Got F in explaining. You know one must realize , slow down while speaking. Lay out the steps. Then explain. Also zoom in when showing steps. One time I asked a designer how to draw parting lines in Catia when we were doing castings. That guy completely confused me. I had to sit down and Ask myself how I would do it if I were to do it. So that person with 20 yrs experience could not explain clearly . Good teachers are hard to find. As a graduate student I was taking a Boundary layer course. The instructor kept writing the Math. The subject became so dry I asked myself what was its use. This is the problem with schools , they throw the math but no useful application. Only after working for a big aircraft company I realized what the instructor told us was very useful, I mean all the math. Universities fail to tell you practical application. I realized if you want to learn many many times you should try to get help, if not figure it out yourself. It has never been easy. But a growing process.
Is it ok to sometimes have exposed nails at the corner? Only one of my windows 🪟 out of 20 has two exposed nails at the corner. Not sure why nails were needed when they would be visible.

I just needed to replace my IGU( seal broke so condensation developed) when the manufacturer only sent me the glass(frame was obsolete). This was the best video. It was exactly how you demonstrated. I had to REALLY snap in the "glazing beads" using a small hand vise grip though. Nolocal glass business would even think of doing this for me. Thank goodness I'm kinda handy(for a female). Thank you SOOO much.
I tried that but when I cut mine I suggest you don't it vacuums to your body and you can't shower so I'm still looking for a solutions I might go back to the full shower and let the magnets hold to the shower
I have older - 2004/2005 Classic Series Milgard Vinyl windows and am wondering if you are able to remove them? I have watched the videos and can tilt them inward but I can"t seem to lift up on one side to disengage. Just wondering if older windows can be removed? I don't want to break them!
Dan I had MI double hung installed 5 years ago an a few have become hard to go up or down. I tried the screw driver in the shoe adjustment but to no avail. Next I'm trying Sprayway all purpose Dry Lubricant to see if that works. Any other ideas?
What a great video saved me several thousand dollars. I was quoted to replace my windows 6k for 3 double windows that fogged over. I replaced with double pane low E $400 bucks. Thank You!!!
God I hate hate hate these windows!!! My feet have a horizontal orientation and the window shoes are vertical. After cleaning the window the feet won't go all the way into the shoes so the window jams at 1 inch open and won't go up or down. The shoes aren't halfway up like yours, mine are at the bottom of the window frame. Nope, I can't twist the feet around and the shoe doesnt fit back in. Let's just be honest here, vinyl windows stink.
I have i craftsman bow window. One panel of 4 is foggy (no an opening panel) They sent me the replacement panel looks like entire thing pops in frame.. but I don't see where to break the seal, or any strip to take off. Where do you break the seal to pop it out it just looks to easy, I'm afraid to try. Have you made video I haven't found one 9:01
