Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the AMZWATCH, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
Nice one. I build my self a similar one, case the same, but all steel, dial, same, but light grey, and silver mercedes hands. But now thinking of swapping to this style hands u got
I love your videos please keep them up as I’ve started now from the inspiration of you and your helpful videos would love to see loads of different colours. Also I may ask how would I create my own custom logo or write a tiny initial
hey arthur just watched your video and i am willing to customize watch for myslef not a copy but mostly similar designs but without name on dial would you please provide your gmail as we can do business if possible cause here in india the accessory are hard to get and are too costly and i have been waiting to build this watch from 1 year please let me know. thankyou
Thanks for showing the mistakes. We all make them. I'm researching as much as I can before I attempt my first build and this is very helpful. Was the chapter ring already installed in the case you bought?
Yes, that's very wise of you. But don't be worried. Just got for it. You are gonna managed it just fine! Actually I don't install any chapter rings in this build. For chapter ring, I would recommend you to look for a case that already has the chapter ring install. that would be way easier. But if you want to customise the chapter ring, you will need to have the watch glass/crystal press tool. because if not mistaken, you will need to install the chapter ring from the front, instead of the back of the watch. which means you will need to remove the watch glass/crystal to install the ring, before pressing the glass into the watch again. Hope this helps!
Hello fellow Malaysian here! Been wanting to try watching building after watching tons of guides. Great motivation from you as well!!! Keep up the good work 💪
My favorite 2024 is the Prospex Limited Edition 1965 Recreation European Exclusive in Gradation Island Blue. The dial is stunning and the contrast when on a white strap is to die for. I will get my hands on one from amzwatch
You did every thing so well and in the end in my opinion is where you have made the real mistake.. taking the finger covers off and touching the gasket.. leading to potential dust particles entering the movement and the inside of the case.. It’s a good build but if you watch lume shot he focuses so much on cleaning.. I think that is the true thing we forget in building our own watches..
yes ideally we should keep the finger glove throughout the whole watch build. But it was so tight that i can barely feel my fingers. so i had to take it off
hey thanks for the comment. Yes you are right. so what we will always do is to keep turning the crown until the date just jumps (to the next day). that way we will know the time is exactly at the 00:00 mark. we then install the hour and minute hand exactly at 00:00 mark. this only applies if you are building a date time watch. if you dial doesn't show the date. you can ignore this step and install the minute and hour hand wherever you like.
@@arthur-loh thanks for answer so second hand does not matter and just hour and minute are important to be at 00:00 right? For example today is 24th and I set it up at 25th and hands at 00:00 then everything is done like watch are builded then I can put the date back to the current day?
unfortunately, the exact seller that I bought from removed the item. Maybe you can try this alternative product link: s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DB9x4WL
i agree. but i think it's a good practise to push down the lever when installing the stem. on one of my build, i installed the stem without pushing the lever and i broke the keyless work (which i need to open the movement to fix it).
Bro the stem is too long the crown didn’t screw right into the case. You need to measure the front of the threat to the inside of the crown and cut that measurement. You didn’t cut enough
Easy mistake on the second hand, lucky you didn't bend the pin for the second hand, because that is irreversible and the movement is ruined. BTW you should always use either blue or red Loctite on the stem/crown once you have the exact length of the stem correct. Otherwise it can come loose and drop off without you being aware of it.
yeah i was extremely lucky I didn't break the movement. otherwise, it will be a huge price to pay. and yes, i totally agree. I did applied the loctite off camera to secure the crown. thanks for the tips!
what is the dial size? and do movement for 36 mm dial and 40 mm dial are different in size or is it the same sized movement that fits in both dials with spacer?
the dial size is 28.5mm. I have never tried building a 36mm or 40mm dial on NH35 movement. but i would assume yes. all movement are the same in size. so long as your 36mm or 40mm dial says it fits your movement. then you are good to go. and make sure to get the case that fits your dial size. and yes, a spacer will typically be included inside the case to keep the movement in place. and everything should fit perfectly. but whenever in doubt, your best bet is to ask/chat the seller to confirm the compatibility.
@@arthur-lohSorry my bad. By dial size i meant Case dial size not the actual dial itself. My question is does the same NH35 movement should fit both 36 mm and 40 mm case sizes? Or does the movement come in different sizes to fit different case sizes? Hope im able to make you understand my question
yes, 4 minutes off is ok for me, personally. i would redo the hands if it's more than 5 minutes off. otherwise, i'm satisfied. but feel free to remove the hand using a hand remover and redo the hands if you feel 4 minutes off is not good enough.
Hi guys! I just added the link to all my parts and tools used in this video in the video description. Sorry it took a while for me to prepare as RU-vid requires some verification to have the link activated. So feel free to check back the video description when the link is active! Thanks for the likes, comment and support! I truly appreciate it!

Hi! sorry I am very new to RU-vid. apparently i need to perform verification for the link to work, which i have just done. Feel free to check back the video's description for the working link! thanks for reminding!
@@arthur-lohThanks Arthur, I ended up ordering parts last week. Some of them from the same link as you sent. It will be my first build so hopefully everything goes well 🤞
oh my goodness! it's a absolutely heart shattering experience. especially when I thought I broke the movement. luckily it's reversible. I truly wouldn't wish it on anyone!
cool idea and great design 😁👍 but you made a mistake - you bend all the clock hands ... up - which, after a slight impact, may cause them to get stuck! ... & ultimately it doesn't look nice - if someone looks some carefully at the watch. 🥺
Thanks! I would love to build a quartz seiko watch. However i can’t seem to find any quartz seiko day date movement. Closest i can find is a VK63 seiko movement, for a Daytona style chronograph watch. I would love to try building that one day!
