For more than 125 years, the College of Dentistry has been an integral part of The University of Iowa and a resource to the state of Iowa. The great majority of Iowa dentists are alumni of the College of Dentistry. The strength of our relationships with the university, the state, the profession, and with academic colleagues, alumni, practitioners and industry has enabled us to become one of the top dental schools in the United States. Our connections, involving graduate education and research, extend well beyond national boundaries, and give the College of Dentistry a reputation that is recognized worldwide. Our mission is to educate dentists for Iowa and beyond through excellence in patient care, education, and research. The College of Dentistry and Dental Clinics at the University of Iowa is located in the casual yet cosmopolitan environment of Iowa City, widely recognized as one of the country's most livable communities.
Great tour - Thank you U of Iowa! Love all the specific details Kobi and Kaitlyn put into the tour. I really enjoyed learning about it and being able to see all the great clinics Iowa has. Go Hawks!
6:47 Awesome. It is true that most dental schools expect students to find high-quality extracted teeth on their own. While the tooth collection task encourages students to interact with local dentists, I think it makes more sense for graduates to send any teeth they extracted directly to the school they attended.
